Except they're not. Halo at least has high TTK, fun innovative weapons and verticality in maps.
Compare that to modern popular shooters like CSGO, R6: Siege, Insurgency Sandstorm where the majority of the match is you ADS'ing at doorways waiting for an enemy to pop out from.
Halo (now that it's coming to PC and most likely getting rid of console crutches like aim assist) has much potential in reviving some elements that have been missing in shooters. Aiming, movement, fun.
It's not super fast like Quake, but it's a million times better than corridor monitoring shooters.
