Something really strange has been happening on my Xbox One Oblivion save for the past few years. On my max-level character that I've played on for a really long time, I once made a Corrupted Clone of myself using the Skull of Corruption perma-clone glitch. However, once I made him, his behavior seemed erratic, to say the least, and due to my end-game gear he's basically unkillable. Now hold on, I know what you're thinking. No, this is not a creepypasta. I did make a thread about this a few years ago that got turned into a copypasta, but I have documentation of everything the clone has done on Xbox's DVR service, and I'm posting here so that we can solve the mysteries of how this NPC is able to behave in the way that it is.
Strange behaviors include:
- Swapping out equipment in a way that seemed to progressively get closer to my best gear - Being able to summon two things at once (not possible in Oblivion) - Randomly running to different seemingly random spots on the map, using the roads to get close and then going off-road - Summons know where I am implicitly, even when I'm invisible - The clone's disposition towards me and other NPCs seems to fluctuate wildly. Sometimes he's friendly, sometimes he's so aggressive that he'll chase down deer and kill them (This is actually what lets him travel, since he usually stands in place).
I have clips for all of these and more. What could be going on, Yea Forums? I want to put this to rest.
>inb4 "stale pasta" when I'm going to post proof that this is still occurring
>go up to the clone and ask him "what the hell is going on my nigga?" >he gestures to follow him into an alley >hesitant, take a few steps forward >he stops, gestures again >keep following >once out of sight of everyone else, he walks up, puts his hand to your chest, a completely new spell effect happens and you get transported to a black void without a loading screen in between >the void has some sort of purple grid and a dim bright object in the distance, and the graphics start glitching out >open console >type coc icarena >game freezes >suddenly >youtube.com/watch?v=iR-K2rUP86M&t=130s
I'm on the Xbone for these, and I don't usually stream console gameplay. I suppose I can't rule it out.
I'll try finding the important clips to post. Here's the one of it summoning two liches, because I feel it goes a long way to establishing that something is legitimately up here:
It's probably because the clone have a shitload of faction.

Replicate the Lich thing or the clone in general? The Lich thing is probably doable with slight modding. As for the clone, there probably is, I honestly don't know. It's hard to say until we figure out how these things actually have happened. I added a facsimile of the clone in that viral NPC mod I made a few threads about last week but nothing exact. Although, the fact that this has been happening on my Xbox save for years compels me to continue investigating on Xbox.
That explains his weird choice in combat lines all the time, I think.
>That explains his weird choice in combat lines all the time, I think. Yeah, the exact same thing happen with the dark clone you have to fight in the Shivering Isles, he'll use standard combat quotes from all the factions you belong to because he's really just a copypasta of your character.

Animals in the wild abandon their children to predators when they are in danger or if they deem the young is not fit to survive. Dont humans have that right too?

Ok, well, this is frustrating. For some reason a seemingly random selection of clips, notably the ones of the clone running across the map to random places, have "expired" from the XBL servers despite me having older clips still up on there. I'm just going to take more footage, but in the mean time here's the clip of the clone in a small cottage:
And continuing off of that clip, I fast traveled away and then back and the clone is gone. There's a trail of dead bodies but it suddenly ends. Pic related for one of the bodies.
>another nickies thread It's like christmas morning

I'm really lazy with saves (I always make new ones instead of overwriting) so I actually have a record of pretty much all of my saves back to when I first spawned the clone on 12/3/16.
Make a second clone, see if they will fight each other

I can't, the Skull of Corruption despawned when I made the last one. The permanent cloning glitch itself requires that the clone is in a different cell than the Skull anyway though, making that impossible.
By the way, anyone want to explain to me why, after literally two years of being silent save for barebones combat dialogue and hostile greetings, the clone suddenly started having conversations with other NPCs? In combat mode, no less? Is that even possible? xboxdvr.com/gamer/the-jinjabaker/video/56504946
>it's a Nickies thread Maximum comfy. What happened with your NPC infection run? I couldn't stay until the end of the stream, how did it turn out?

I don't want to hijack the thread, but what's the most subtle magic mod for oblivion? Midas looks retarded, Supreme Magicka even more so.

There were ultimately several streams so idk which one you're referring to, but after a few tests I ultimately declared success, as the two clone types were able to dominate every major city and evolve to their latest stages. I uploaded the mod on Nexus for others to use, as well.
I figured out what happened to the other Oblivion clips, by the way. For a time, I guess because Microsoft is retarded, clips recorded in Oblivion were put into a different "Oblivion" game category than the proper one, and apparently when someone noticed that they just deleted that different category and made it so that new clips go in the right place. Unfortunately, that means all the clips and screenshots taken in that span of time are now gone - not just mine, too, but you can see on the XboxDVR page for Oblivion that a bunch of other people's are missing too.
My plans for tonight just cleared up, so I could actually do some kind of stream showing you guys what I mean with this clone. As always I won't be posting any info here though.
>playing oblivion on xbone >running around in the forest >been a while since i played last >notice odd patterns of grass and other greenery >each individual piece of grass is placed in perfect squares and rectangles >some places are completey devoid of grass >my factions alignments doesn't include me being mad god and the haskill spell is gone >enemy NPC's get staggered on EACH and EVERY hit when i punch them with my fist and they make the same sound every time >a bunch of my special gear is gone from my houses
No, none of my dlc's were uninstalled. shit just got fucked up and the only thing which reverted back to normal was the grass placements
