you get into a conversation with the seller, and if he is legit, in no time he will agree to refund the money
the problem is some ignore you for weeks
add to the injury that thanks to EU laws, G2Pay wallets are frozen in EU region, so sellers don't want to refund you with real money.... everyone is waitint for g2a to find a solution, because you cant use wallet money, and if they caught you using a VPN, they block your account forever
it is not that big of a deal
about 100 transactions so far, and this only happened to me 3 times, and all the times were in December... I don't know what was going on during that time, but either Humble pulled the plug on some keys, or some fucks with too much did a massive fraud

CDKeys is the best lower price point keysellers from my experience and I mostly get new games from there.

If you want to support developers then use GMG since they take the discount from their own cut. Though their prices aren't as good as some other keysellers, they're at least legit and you're supporting the developers.

G2A is the biggest scam website on the planet. I remember buying some dlc for EU4 there years ago and I was recently charged 2 bucks for "inactivity" because they automatically made an account for me when I bought one game there.

Happened to me once, like a year after I bought the game. I contacted them had to sit in a long queue but they refunded me the full thing in the end with no real issue. Next time you're playing something sit in queue on the background, they will more than likely refund you.

and in terms of software, i've bought about 5 office and 6 windows 10 pro licenses

don't even need to pay protection, you are protected anyways. Paying gives you priority. Had one scammer and one unintentional fuckup, both got resolved, the former by g2a the latter by the seller.

only one time a key was already used but I contacted the seller and within minutes he sent me a replacement which worked

all that without out that protection garbage (which is most of the time more expensive than the actual keys)

the difference is that if you pay for the insurance, they refund you instantly, and then they deal with it themselves
basically you are paying for that refund if it happens, the same way as any other insurance
