improved graphics and support for all HD resolution and the average shit you get nowadays with good remasters, i doubt they'll change the balance or the units since they didn't for the AoE 1 remaster, improving the pathfinding and the dumb AI would be great aswell
i always had more trouble with cannons being so Overpowered compared to everything else, also them soacking 75% of ranged damage didn't help matters either

the fuck? have we been playing the same game? because that is not the case with cannons at all, they counter ships extremely hard to the point you can't even get close to a culverin with your frigates because it will get torn to shit within 3 shoots and frigates have over 2k hp, normal canoes have 250 hp and war canoes barely have 500
