The exploration of chiefs humanity was interesting because it was brought up as early as the first book and The Flood but never really panned out farther than that until 4. I think Ackerson always hated the Spartan 2’s because his weird feud with Halsey.
In the games Chief is well loved by most of the human cast from 1-3 and is rightfully a hero.
