My wired 360 controller that I used on my PC finally died (bought it used and it lasted 9 years) so I need a new controller for all those console ports and for emulation. What is Yea Forums using and what is considered to be the standard nowadays?

No one cares, dude. Just ask for the best PC controller.

This. Feels great and has comprehensive support. The Elite is the best but it's horrendously over priced, standard does just fine.

Frequently I alternate between the DS3 and the Xbox 360 wired controller like yours. I owned a DS4, didn't really like it that much and sold it a few months after. I ordered an xbox one controller and should arrive today. If it arrived now I would tell you how good it is.

For emulation though it's hard to say which one I would like. I find d-pads in most gamepads really disgusting. Dual shock ones are kinda awkward, I got used to them but I will never say they are comfortable. The 360 one is awful, I heard the Xbox one controller d-pad is better but clicky and hard to do diagonals on. No idea really. Only one I really like for its d-pad is some old Logitech Precision.

I used to love the 360 controllers, but I've noticed that the LB and RB always start to stick at some point. Maybe I press them too hard?

Do you mean the side of the button that touches your fingers or within the controller itself? Either way, it's probably the plastic leaching some of the softeners over time. Is it warm in our room or does the controller lie in the sun a lot?

It's probably the switches. For some reason Microsoft has been always doing this kind of thing with LB/RB where you're actualy supposed to press with the middle part of your finger rather than your fingertips. Specially true with earlier xbox one controller models where people were complaining.

Don't be a faggot, user. Or worse, Sony fanboy.
OP obviously wanted to say how this thing lasted for so long. I might as well buy myself one (X1 gamepad)

They're giving context to the situation. No one cares about you

Mine don't stick, but they start to feel mushy after a while. Both of my pads back from launch month in 2005 are still going strong, but the LB/RB buttons don't audibly click anymore. The durability on the analogue rubber is the main issue with 360 pads.

Dualshock 3 if you care about 2D and a good D-Pad. Everything else (read: 3D) X360 and X1 are good enough and get bonus points for compatiblity. Although I heard the X1 can be a bit iffy about the analog sticks with older stuff (emulators). I have no experience with that however. If you're heavy into arcade titles like smups and fighters, get a stick to top it off.

Are PDP controllers (X1 controller for PC) good enough? I see that the average score is 3.5/5 and it seems like this store in my country only has PDP controllers. In different colors, obviously.
This one, for example

>33 euros
kinda good price if its original MS

Any good third party xbones?

PDP is not MS though.

How do people claw on the left hand with the Xbox controller?

Just buy another 360 controller. That's it.

wew I suck at reading this morning sorry

in my experience all oem controllers are shit, I'd go only for ms/sony originals

> claw
Mcfucking kill your'e selve.

>can't get DS2, X360 or DS3 pad anywhere
Shit sucks. I don't like DS4 analogs and XB1 has crappy micro-USB that easily breaks.
I hope DS5 and next xbox controller are better.

its going to feel really natural moving from the 360 to the Xbone

wow look at this casual

Does the normal latest xbone controller has usb? amazon isn't really clear what generation you are buying and i'm afraid of getting the old wired one with bad dpad. I heard the newest one has a good dpad so wanted to go shopping for it but it seems like all of them are wireless.

i hate the xbox controller because the stick position interferes with using the Dpad at the same time
for pc the ps4 controller is actually pretty good since you can bind macros on the memepad, and the trigger buttons feel gud mang
on the other hand, the xbox one controller has a gimmick that let's you use both RB/RT by resting your index in between both, and you can choose between any of the two by just moving your finger a little. And i guess the left stick is a little better for fighting games, but if you're on pc a keyboard is better for that anyway.

This isnt your personal blog where can bitch about other people, faggot.

Just arrived and I tried it for a bit

First impressions: Analog triggers feel a bit too easy to press (which is probably good for games that don't have any analog function). Vibration a bit stronk. The d-pad is definitely not the problem, the problem is where it's placed, as it's pretty fucking fine in my opinion (clicky but comfy), but reaching that is a little harder with small thumbs. The analogs don't have much resistance. The buttons are similar to the ones on the 360. LB and RB are kinda weird but eh. Only flaw I see is the fucking analog stick buttons, not that easy to press.
