Can you imagine paying 60 bucks for this garbage? I pirated it and still feel ripped off.
Seriously what's the appeal of this stale garbage over, say, Rayman or Hollow Knight or Ori or pretty much every other 2D platformer that has actual effort put into it and costs 1\4th of the price? These "new" SMB games are so easy, stale, boring, and stupid. The graphics are soulless, almost machine-made, the music sucks dicks, and the gimmicks they add have nothing to do with platforming and usually are just "use thingy to float over the entire level". Don't even get me started on the new "additions" for this "deluxe" version, Toadette that can magically into Peach and float over the entire level, and Nabbit is just retard-mode.
>there are people who bought the Wii U original full price and this one again for 60 bucks
What's so bad about it? It's just a generic 2d Mario game, right? 8 worlds, about 6 levels each with 2-3 special levels per world like fortress and then some collectables right?
Wyatt Jenkins
based same here worst mario game ever
Ryder Thomas
Can you imagine being poor?
Jace Morales
Not really a "well-made" game with tons of care put into it, but I'll be fucked if it isn't fun.
Levi Watson
That's what snoyfags don't get, their games are not fun
It's oh this game was so hard or this games story was so deep or this game looked cinematic but you'll never NEVER hear them say this game is so fun.
And if it's not fun, whats the point
Elijah Watson
Got the Mario name, probably doesn't take that much work to make, sells well so they keep making them. Personally I stopped after the original DS one because it just felt very generic. I heard the multiplayer on the Wii was fun but I have no friends.
Liam Green
>Seriously what's the appeal of this stale garbage over, say, Rayman or Hollow Knight or Ori Well, Mario is king of platformers. I've tried pretty much every rival platformer out there and they're all shit. Platformer as a genre pretty much died after 2000
Matthew Jenkins
I dunno man, Sony games are fun too. Don't hate cause you can't afford.
Lucas Hall
Name 1 And I own a PS4
Benjamin Sanchez
I'm enjoying the Uncharted collection. I just started playing PS this year so I'm catching up on all the games I missed. Haven't had time to play many others. The Last of Us Remastered was pretty fun too.
I agree that Shadow of the Colossus was less "fun" than atmospheric.
Brandon Gutierrez
Its just the best 2D Mario.
Parker Jenkins
>complaining about something you stole
Connor Martinez
What makes it so great? Exclusive to Playstation? Then Tombi
Isaiah Gomez
cringe and obsessed
Christian Watson
Pretty great platformer to be honest. Just 100%'d the main game.
John Watson
Everything except for the rehashed artstyle and music, really. Biggest moveset Mario ever had in a 2D game, most powerups, way better bosses than in 3 and World, multiplayer, extra content like challenges which are super fun and really good level design.
Its just a shame that they insisted on using the NSMB style again with the exact same world themes.
Not OP, but while I agree it is a well made game, like a lot of Nintendo's other games, I thought it was extremely boring for not really picking up the pace until the Starworld. Even Peach's Castle was a cakewalk for me. At least the final boss was better than the one on 3DS.
Sebastian Ward
Seems fun. Since you own it on Switch, do I get both the levels from the base game of NSMBU and the New Super Luigi U? The wiki wasn't clear on it
Dominic Fisher
yes, the dlc from the original is free
Hunter Adams
Neat, I'll get it to hold me over until Mario Maker comes out.
John Diaz
I actually only played the WiiU version and I think they're charging too much on the Switch. It should be both though.
Kevin Sullivan
Not even the worst thing about it, you can get the exact same soulless game for $15 on Wii U and FREE on PC.
Evan Nelson
It's fun to play with others
Nolan Green
This game really should be like 20-30 dollars considering it's a port of a Wii U launch title from 2012 even more recent games on the Wii U cost less if you get the Nintendo Select's version of said games. I could forgive it maybe if they gave some sort of new mode or interesting playable characters, but they just gave us a Toad modelswap and being able to use Nabbit outside of Luigi U. Which, by the way, 2 players are forced to use in 4 player, which basically means they have a huge advantage over everyone else. Kinda sad really.
Nolan Collins
Rayman Origins / Legends is infinitely better and more fun than any rehashio bros game on every single aspect. It's also more fun in multiplayer because it's not as easy as Mario to push off other players or to mess them up. Also, if you play 4 player coop, NSMBU DX forces one of the players to use either Toadette or Nabbit, meaning one of the players will have a huge advantage over the others.
Jaxon Lewis
Buying a 64 dollar game doesn't mean you're not poor you fucking retard. Just like me buying my 50,000 dollar sportscar outright doesn't mean I'm wealthy
Gavin Thomas
I would consider myself ripped off if it was higher than 10 honestly. This game is mediocre as fuck, you're literally better off playing the original on wii u than this shit.
Zachary Clark
It's a children's game.
Jordan Gomez
that doesn't mean it can automatically be shit you can actually program a game that could maybe challenge a child instead of mouth feed them simple levels they did it in the 80's and children liked games as much then as they do now
Ayden Martin
The platforming is solid. It's not as intricate as DKC Tropical Freeze, but it's still pretty good compared to something like Odyseey which was a collect-a-thon snoozefest
Chase Brown
I think its more intricate than DKC, but also way easier. Like DKC pushes you harder which ultimately makes you feel good because overcoming tough obstacles is fun, but you can do more with Mario. If NSMBU had levels laid out in the DKC way it wouldve been truly amazing. You only see glimpses of that in the challenges or the star world.
I also think that Odyssey super lame.
Isaac Evans
I'd like a proper new 2D Mario game, but I've always hated the controls in the NSMB series. Still waiting for one that feels as tight, quick, and responsive as Mario 3 or World. Or even the original.
>easy, stale, boring and stupid >thinks Nabbit is new Ask me how I can tell you didn't play Super Luigi U.
Tyler Bailey
Mario doesn't do well as a run of the mill platformer nowadays. Mario Maker is another story because you can do whatever the fuck you want. He doesn't have 2D level design like Sonic or Celeste that keeps the player engaged. He does much better in 3D though that's pretty much the only place where Mario can thrive again aside from Mario Maker
Chase Jenkins
user you sound super autistic right now
Nathaniel Gray
>why didn't you buy the DLC for a game that was already boring
Mason Edwards
Based, although this is really low hanging fruit
Adam Thomas
If you're OP, it's included in the game you allegedly played. Do yourself a favor and try it. Alternatively, do your research before you shitpost.
