First time Building gaming pc

I fucked up. I bought Windows 10 DvD then realised I dont have an optical drive and my case doesn’t support optical drive. My monitor too needs a dvd to install driver. What do i do? Have i truly fucked up?

just hook up the drive to the motherboard,etc... and let it stay outside the case temporarily.

you can plug in an external optical drive via usb

Just get a usb and make it a boot drive

>I bought windows 10 on dvd
Stopped reading there, please stay on console.

>putting a DVD down printed side up
You deserve your predicament.

The monitor does not need the disc to function and you can install windows 10 from a USB stick.

I did that for the photo. Flipped it back afterwards. Anyway what do the drivers for the monitor do anyway and do i need to install them

Download Windows 7 and boot it via usb

What does the Windows 10 Dvd thing come with? Does it come with a code or something i can use to download windows 10 on my usb

>monitor drivers
you don't to install these unless you using applications that use different color profiles or plan to use any special functions the monitor has beyond what windows pnp can do. in most cases you won't ever need to use that disc at all.

as far as an optical drive you don't need a "case that supports it" just leave your case your open and plug the drive into your board and psu and use it normally. you can weight it down with a book or something to keep it stable and minimize vibration, or you can just go buy a cheap enclosure for it and make it a usb optical drive, you're choice.

after you install 10 goto microsoft site and download the media tool thing and make a bootable windows 10 usb drive.

You need another computer for this
Download a program called rufus to create a bootable USB drive and install windows whatever onto it using the program.
I believe windows 10 has its own installer for that if you just do a quick google search.
once that's done plug that bad boy in and restart your PC - it should boot the USB and install windows since the drives are empty, but if not then press F10 or something and change the boot order to USB

you don't need to install a fucking monitor just make sure you plug it into your GPU and NOT your motherboard.

If you really need it you can always buy an external optical drive, they're pretty cheap.

(OP)
Download Windows 10 Disc Image from MS own website, install that using thumb drive, and use your official serial number.
I already did this multiple times.
