literally every gacha is boring as fuck by necessity due to being designed for phones, which means you can't have any real gameplay (action games on a capacitive touchscreen are a joke, and turn-based games have to have extremely simple battle systems or else navigating the UI in combat becomes too tedious for casual players). They live solely from waifufag/husbandofag whales and some fringe retards, that's literally it. That said GBF is probably the most based gacha game since the actual gacha game itself only exists to milk whales while establishing characters and lore for the real videogames that GBF's creators actually care about getting made.

No shit it has more lore, establishing the lore is literally the only reason the game exists, since the creators literally made it to raise money and interest in games they'd make in the future that they actually gave a shit about. Hopefully the "spinoffs" start printing money so we get a remake of GBF itself in the style of a real videogame so that sane people can also enjoy the story, characters, and lore without the garbage gameplay of the browser version.

That kind of stuff doesn't happen if there isn't an amicable break, or even just a standard end of contract. Nobuo does a handful of tracks, Narita does most of the work. Nobuo hasn't been a full-time composer for a long time.

GBF is probably best played entirely F2P anyway, the rate-ups for characters are absolute nonsense and they give away so many free rolls that you might as well just run with what you get anyway.

clearing the story and side-stories took me a hell of a long time, too. there's a lot of content and of course you always have some time-sensitive event running. normally GW is my slow time since i don't do that gay esports autism gridning.

It’s an old game made off the engine of an even older game by a company who had little money to throw around at the time. An overhaul has been a long time coming, but the game is so stupidly massive that it’s not realistic. Seriously, if you count events there’s more content in GBF than every other mobage I’ve played combined. Even discounting events the main story alone is longer than any RPG ever, 118 chapters to date and we’re still only around 2/3 done.
