You used to be cool. You've changed, man.

phenom II x4 965 represent
How fucking old is your PC? I built a computer with that CPU in fucking 2010.
955 here
Still repping
Alright, you gays recommended a poor like me go with an AMD PC. I got a 1.65GHz dual core, 8GB of RAM, with a Radeon HD 6320 (256MB). I know with my budget and PC I will not be playing the most technically advanced games nVidia and intel systems can. I just installed Windows 10. What next? Please provide me a roadmap to setting up for gaming bliss.
DWS10, O&O Shutup 10, Spybot Anti-beacon?
Alcohol 120%, Daemon tools, or some other?
brothers, unite
you kids think your the shit with x4? i started with x6 and never looked back - in a few months ill jump to 8/16 and that will last another half decade of top performance
those were the days when AMD was still lying about single thread per core being better for games.
Thuban gang assemble
1090T was the bomb
This guy
What are you talking about? Ryzen is amazing.
user that is almost a decade old jesus
Jesus christ, I can only imagine the bottleneck.
970 here because 965 was out
still chugging along and not mad at anything about it
1) what IS budget
2) just get thread ripper - copy a build off of tomshardware or something and mix and match/substitute parts which you cant get for whatever reason like out of stocks, etc
>thread ripper
The PC is built. Specs were there. I am looking to get the essentials.
ok, bro, i saw your specs and they are doodoo
seriously consider getting a new rig
also the vocab on the first part of your post is very poor and makes it hard to understand what you want
Ex 965 bro here. Made the comfy budget leap to Fx 8350BE with a 212 evo cooler running below 10c at idle.
remember when amd made graphics cards? those were good times
It was all I could afford. Besides, it is low power draw for added savings and passively cooled for near silence. Emulation will be its primary function. I have not tested to see if PS2, Xbox, Dolphin will work yet.
why
what should I stick in my AM3+ socket that's better than a phenom 2. I really want to upgrade but I don't want a whole new motherboard.
>I really want to upgrade but I don't want a whole new motherboard
Cheapskate.
this is an amd thread
go to your mobo manufacturer's website and see what the highest cpu its supports is. you'll likely have to flash it though.
>Building computer in 2012
>Radeon HD 7850 was supposed to be best performance per dollar
>Shit was the worst graphics card I have ever used, and I was made fun of by everyone for not going nVidia
>Still using same card to this day, and it still sucks
>Finally saved up almost $200
I hope the nVidia GTX750 at my local microcenter will free me from this AMD hell
You're right, touché.
id imagine at least dolphin will work
lots of great old games worth playing too if youre looking for specific games to try look up either Yea Forums's recommended lists or ask /vg/ for their recommended infographics
also id say anything ~ 2005-10 would run fine, pc wise
Still running mine too.
Paired with a 1050Ti as my 560Ti died last year.
what's life like for you AMDfags?
See
Intel CPU's are now the bottom of the image. Nvidia still holds the top GPU's, but AMD can beat Intel with its arms tied behind their back. Apple has abandoned Intel and AMD APU's blow Intel's APU's out of the water as well. The general consumer market is shifting towards APU's and AMD are in the lead there.
Cool. Do you thin El Dewrito will work too?
FX 8350 retard
Cool? I remember that the Phenoms heated the fuck up to the point of making the GTX 480 blush
maybe in extreme budget cases, an APU is a better value than Intel for sure, but at mid-tier or higher Intel CPUs are still unbeatable.
I was still playing on an Athlon 64 when these came out. It's long dead now but I've still got a Pentium 4 build hooked up just so I can remind myself how slow everything was back then.
Ryzen is the coolest thing AMD has done in a long time. Also I'm happy with my RX 580. I even got DMCV and RE2 in a bundle all for under $200.
That was a sweet deal
I was going to buy the games anyway, so pretty much paid $100 for a RX580 8GBVRAM
