ITT: Areas that casuals will never understand
looks like a typical chinese apartment
You've been to China, user? Was that a sneaky brag?
just a worse blight town
Blight town was a slog but this was a fucking maze. I'll take fart statues over dart boys though
It's better than upper blighttown. If blighttown swamp didn't exist, then it truly would have been a boring area. Even though casuals would still be crying about it.
>Yeah I visited China, pretty cool huh?
Nobody sane has ever said this.
This level was based as fuck. Did anyone else notice the pianos in the columns of sludge?
>am able to study overseas in china in 3rd year of uni
>decline because why the fuck would i want to live in china for a year
>family questioning me on why i passed it up
???
I'd be more impressed by someone who visited Detroit
Who would have thought that the Normal type gym leader would be the most eccentric?
Kind of boring 2bqh, I can think of a hundred ways to do the 'trash heap of unwanted things' in a fantasy universe. Demon's Souls had the best iteration of scaffolding in a shithole.
I did like autistically lighting all the torches though, and liked how SotFS took that into account.
any time someone complains about "artificial difficulty" in a Souls game just replace it with "unique challenge" and everything makes more sense.
Apparently there's a texture for a fucking Heineken bottle in the level.
Oi yoo wahkin ahn aoustreech ya daft cunt?
'IS NAME'S WORRACE
it's a fahkkin emyu main
If only it ended up actually looking this good, fuck this area, also fuck forcing me to make that shitty jump with the poison statues.
textures are convoluted in Drangleic
HE'S AN ASSHOLE
The second someone says artificial difficulty you know they're a gay retard
! TOXIC !
The Gutter honestly isn't as bad as blight town, people just hate it because "reee why do I need a torch!"
i hate it because it's fucking boring
It literally looks that good
Imagine how good this place would have been if the game had its original lighting system and wasn't assembled from scraps in the last 8 months of development
It has interesting gimmicks and for all the comparisons, quite different from Blighttown
Fuck those statues though
I watched a video where a guy said working in China was leagues better than Japan. He was working as an English teacher in Japan first. But no one wanted to talk to him, the hours were shit, and the company was expecting insane hours for little pay.
Then he says "screw this", and goes to work in China. Earns a living wage, is making friends. Has a reasonable schedule with vacation time.
>Boring
There are plenty of boring locations in DaS II, the Gutter isn't one of them.
He probably never lit the torches.
Blighttown is actually good though.
The Gutter is boring as fuck. The only enemy in there are plain hollows and it's incredibly short and easy.
Blighttown also has the swamp section, whereas The Gutter only has the horribly unfun Black Gulch.
Maybe he was just shitty, annoying and lazy
No wonder he hit it off with the Chinese then
>the Gutter isn't one of them
It's probably the most boring one I can think of
The blighttown areas are only hard on the first playthrough
China was fun for two weeks.
Great food.
Yes I know about gutter oil
All the games are only hard on the first playthrough
Dont reveal your insecurities so easily
I always light all the torches just cause it looks cool
What insecurity? I'm not from China, if that's what you're implying.
I genuinely enjoyed Blighttown on my first playthrough and never understood why people hated it.
It's good honestly. Definitely worth visiting once in a lifetime.
Huawei?
because it's a slideshow
same
I never had this problem
For one it ran like ass on consoles or mid-tier PC. Because it's a shanty town the level design is very annoying to traverse and map out. Then for those who lacked shields the toxic blow darts were annoying as fuck.
When you finally reach the bottom of it, you're met with a poison swamp followed by a constant barrage of mosquitoes.
Basically everything about the design is annoying, rather than fun.
What is there even to enjoy? It's just boring and ugly.
Dudes, the frame drops aren't that bad. I played the original PS3 version. Yes, the frames drop to shit. But is it a big deal? Not really. The game is slow anyway. You don't need consistent 30 frames, in order to deal with the zone.
Everything else about the zone was fun as fuck.
