Blade exposed and a sound? Will attack immedieatly after teleporting
Blade exposed and no sound? Will delay the teleport and then attack
Closed fist? Will feint and then attack
If he jumps, speed up the counter by like a fraction of a second.

I assure you that all you need to know are the visual signals and you'll be able to do it 9/10 always always because except for the jump, all teleports have the same delay.

You can respond to the blade out with the same timing and then delay your second swing if he doesn't show up. It has the same effect and is actually what I did until I realized it had a sound that accompanied it.

Not on DMD. Needs 2. They're DT actually actively works against them as their stagger tolerance (and by proxy their teleport tolerance) skyrockets, letting you land two Real Impacts back to back. It's silly

Given their new DT forms, I kind of want to see Dante and Vergil bullying Blizzard's Diablo, like Vergil cutting off an arm or leg while Dante talks smack and Diablo just looking miserable from the ass whopping.

How fucking rancid do Nero and Dante smell by the end of the game? It takes place almost entirely in one day. Nero could have arguably showered by the start of the day but he still gets covered in demon blood while Dante spent an entire month in a graveyard covered in blood and sweat.

Vergil broke out of demon control by acting out some insane plan to break himself into two pieces and hope his brother puts him back together (or the will of his humanity). But then he realizes Nero would do a better job. Then he bonds with Nero and becomes his friend without even realizing it's his son. I mean, V is what Vergil should be if not for all the bullshit he had to endure. He's finally on the path to realizing that. So in the 6th game, expect to see him as a wandering hobo that goes to book clubs writing slam poetry. Imagine a chiller Virgil that likes to sit around being sarcastic

I've posted about this a lot and I'll post about it a lot more. Completely disregard her in DMC4 and rebuild her from the ground up, taking more inspiration from her DMC3 style. Handguns, SMG, DEagle (call it Lightning Hawk for the RE reference), Tactical Shotgun (not just Coyote reskin), Spiral, and Kalina Ann. That sounds like a lot, hear me out. Give her only two (but fairly similar) melee movesets that automatically change depending on if she's got one-handed guns or two-handed equipped, make it focused on mobility, redirection, and pushing enemies back instead of just doing damage. Give her a reload mechanic where the aim is to do cuhrayzee instant reloads by properly timing it when expending a magazine or after a melee move or during a dodge, allowing you to never stop shooting. Give her variant ammo instead of rehashing charged shots, armour piercing rounds for punching through shields, incendiary rounds for setting groups alight, liquid nitrogen rounds which slow enemies, explosive devil rounds which do more damage but have a longer recovery animation as firing it knocks her back and forces her to reload normally. Change ammo types like changing weapons or styles, and reloading loads the new ammo type. When just shooting let her choose whether to lock-on as normal or free-aim like Tomboy, with free-aim doing more damage if you hit heads or other weak spots. Put explosives on her style button, instead of reloading during a dodge let her drop a claymore, give her a royal-guard style move that lets her dodge around an enemy's attack while planting a timed C4 on them. Instead of just making her be about holding charged shot and swinging KA like a club, have her be the acrobatic bullet slinger she was always meant to be.

Dante doesn't have Trick down, or a possible Side Trick like Vergil had in DMC4SE on his side evades while DT'd. Dante also doesn't have the almighty Hoolahoop, Judgement cuts, Lunar Phases, Rising Suns, or the Yamato moveset.

Because ultimately, It's an anime game and Bingo doesn't want to end the game on another sad note that would've felt like DMC3. If another writer does come on board, I want Vergil to go to some kind of secure prison with conditions that he and Dante agreed to. It'll show growth with Vergil while Nero and Dante can visit him from time to time.

Been playing through the DMC games release order. I'm on DMC 3 now. This game is pretty darn good. Just beat Agni and Rudra using royal guard. It was tough as shit, but I enjoyed the challenge. I can't imagine doing RG on a harder difficulty. I'd imagine the game is a lot easier in general if I chose a different style, but man does it feel good to hit that parry/full release.

For the past 11 years we have series come, go, and change their entire playstyle and atmosphere . Lady should be way more agile like some of her cutscenes in 3. Design a style that is more "John Woo" like, a mixture of Gunslinger and Trickster. Evasive moves where she continues firing mid-dodge and can extend it after hitting the ground and sliding. Take her Kalina Ann rocket jumping and Shotgun Ground Zero even further with Gerbera-like air dodges.
No weapon swapping, she should have those two trigger buttons as the other two guns she gets so she can be charging all of her guns at once for a massive explosive combo sequence.

Arkham was considerably weaker than Nero has ever been and he managed to take on a not tired Lady and two tired Sons of Sparda. It's flawed but I don't think it's rushed. It has a few niggles that need ironing out. A Nero vs Vergil vs Dante would've been far more interesting. Urizen 3 and Gilgamesh need more moves and better hitbox on some attacks.

R has superarmor to an extent. It can shrug off light hits but can't shrug off hits that you'd need DT to shrug off normally. So like things like Nobody's jumping kick will knock you out of whatever your stupid ass was doing. But everything else like the combos from shield angelos it gives no fucks.

I disagree, since you can intentionally make the game easier by isolating a single enemy while keeping everything else behind you. It makes no logical sense. Keeping enemies in your field of view should be one of the skills necessary to excel at the game like basically any other game where you're forced to deal with multiple enemies at the same time.

I wish Cav R had the bike form as its basic melee and the saw form as its SM, with that one move being replacing the Cavaliere back-forward basic melee which it would lack in SM. As it is, it feels like there's no good reason to not use Cav R at all times, the weapons just don't feel different.

Nero's mom literally doesn't matter. The identity of the human who gave birth to the Grandson of Sparda won't change anything about the story in any way shape or form. Nero's humanity isn't anchored in a mother figure, but in his relationship with Kyrie.

I think you've missed a huge plot point of this series. Urizen became stronger but sucking up blood through the tree, we're not told how strong he was immediately after the split. Additionally humanity being a source of strength is a major, major theme in this series. Dante keeps telling Vergil he doesn't get it because Dante derives his strength from his human half. An experienced V reforms with a powered-up Urizen and it's probably the most in-touch Vergil had been with his humanity since he was a child, the same drive Dante has lit up inside him and he was unquestionably on par with Dante in that moment.
