Reach was unquestionably the worst Bungie Halo but its still fun and has a large audience. I think the novelty of a new to PC halo game releasing on steam is going to gather a large fanbase. CE is the one I'm more worried about flopping. Even though CE is my favorite. 2 and 3 will do really well. ODST will probably be forgotten about and 4 will definitely flop.

I do like something about each game though so its all good with me.

No, the multiplayer was terrible, like Reach, but the campaign was decent. I enjoyed it for what it was. Halo 5 is the one that did the damage because the campaign was so bad but at least everything else was fun and better than Halo 4.

They are going all the way with a proper PC release. I believe the settings will be quite broad and potato PC users can set all their graphics to low. I played Halo 1 & 2 on a 2000s e-machine at like 200 FPS though, and 3 and Reach can't possibly be that bad.

As long as the port stands up well and the servers arent laggy as fuck, people will be playing it for a long time.

I fully expect the modding community to do it. It would be really easy for PC too. Firefight exists within Halo 3 via ODST. And so do flood enemy types. You literally just swap out covenant enemies for flood ones. And Halo 3 normal spartans will have firefight too because PC.

Definitely OG graphics for CE. Especially on 343 Guilty Spark. The new graphics completely ruin that level with all the extra light and the gore on the walls being barely visible

5 removes the loadout, perk, anmd killstreak shit, but it adds a bunch of new movement systems like thrusters, hovering, sliding, etc as part of your base moveset

I personally think it works well, since Halo has always sort of had bad movement and it preserves even starts, but a lot of people still dislike it

And 4 and 5 have more polygons than the previous titles as well, retard. It's not about polygon count, but how it good it looks. Halo 2 looked really gritty and realistic with lots of gray colors like Reach. Halo 1 and 3 felt clean and sci-fi.

PC games have been plagued with this forever, and 90% of players you believe are god-tier are actually using programs that exploit these PC weaknesses. Countless PC pros have been banned for hacking, and the only actual high skill ceiling PC games are RTS. This is why I stopped playing FPS when I went exclusively PC.

Not him, but I have similar concerns. It's not a matter of "IT WON'T FEEL THE SAME", it's a matter of balance

The Halo series has always used differing aim assist and bullet magnetism values as a way to balance it's weapon sandbox. The sniper rifle, for example, is made harder to use up close by having little to no aim assist and bullet magnetism, which means that rapid aiming and movement with it as needed in close range combat is hard, since analog sticks suck for that without assistance.

On PC, using a mouse, this disadvantage will go away. Guns like the Sniper, BR, DMR, Pistol, etc will all be effectively buffed since it will be way easier to snap to targets and track them then it is with a gamepad/controller on sticks, and Halo ALREADY has those guns outclassing most of the weapon sandbox. Meanwhile, automatic weapons are going to be even more shit as a result, since better accuracy with them won't matter with the skillcap that their insane amount of random spread has.

I can't see the weapon balance not being even more fucked then it already was on console. That being said, as says, CE and 2 are already on PC, so maybe it's not as bad as I think: Can anons who have played them on PC tell me if the pistol/BR in those games is even better then they are on console?

Reach had better forge then 4. THe only effective thing 4 had over reach in terms of forge was the magnet snap system, everything else was worse: Lower object limit, no forge world, NO FUCKING PRECISION EDITING MODE, etc.

Can guarantee players who hook up a controller will be better with BR like in Halo 2, 3, and Forge on PC. Halo 1 is the only game where keyboard + mouse will be superior for various reasons, even with vehicles because there was less physical restriction for how fast you could move the turret and stuff.
