I know this is probably a joke about SOUL edge but I really do think this is only game in the series with it's own distinct "feel". Feels over all more optimistic and fantastical despite mostly having less magic than later titles. Might just be nostalgia goggles + anime faces though.

Nexon, atleast last time I was ever involved with any of their games, seems downright fucking tame compared to some of the shit publishers and devs try pulling today huh. Granted I was never in a position to spend much money on those games at the time but in hindsight it all seems rather anemic.
