Played through the first, but dropped the second after an hour and didn't even play the third. When the interest died, it stayed dead.

TPS basically killed any hype I had for Borderlands, man

played this in third person and it was an improvement. Otherwise it's absolute garbage

Borderlands is a mediocre series based on repetitive gameplay set in a uninteresting bland artificial world written by unfunny talentless cringe-worthy hacks masked by an ugly overrated art style literally stolen from someone else. I sometimes wonder if the people who claim to like this game are just doing it ironically.

nobody calls it a "loot shooter", in this context it is always "looter" being said

it is being called looter by the player community, because the players recognize the presence of the treadmill aspect
the only kind of person to call it a "loot shooter" would be trying to deflect from the implicit psychological manipulation being referenced by the community term

I thought the writing in 2 was generally pretty good. Some specific parts obviously were outright cringey even when the game first came out and are still terrible now, but overall I thought the cast was pretty balanced and fit the setting well. Handsome Jack may be overdone by now but he remains one of the most compelling and interesting villains in any media I can remember, especially after playing the pre sequel.

why don't people just skip the foreplay and call them shitters?

I'm a little bit more hopeful about BL3 because Anthony Burch wont be writing and its not developed by 2k australia but I wont be surprised if claptrap dabs in the trailer

certainly wouldn't be for the story because that doesn't exist in anthem divison or destiny

Imagine if they keep claptrap being his lame humored self but everyone else is better written and the whole game people just beat the shit out of him or tell him to fuck off.
Trailer opens with him dabbing and then just getting shot, then proceeds with the actual plot of the game and showing the features and stuff.

It has some major flaws but yeah i had alot of fun with bl2 and can still go back to it and have fun.
