What do you think of video game creepypastas?
What do you think of video game creepypastas?
I like actual video games more than fanfiction. Its good when there's some original video game mods/fangames get made out of creepypastas though.
Any good examples?
they shit
video game fanfiction is much better
How so?
much more entertaining because half the time, the shittyness is genuine
KING KONG IN THE TRUNK
There's a lot of garbage, but when you find one that's good, it's worth it. Kind of the same thing applies to all creepypastas. But, I think part of the problem is the expectations. I always thought of pastas kind of being like the modern equivalent of campfire ghost stories.
Any good ones in particular?
I like them. They're super cheesy and it's just funny to read them. It's always something along the lines of
>i booted up the mysterious copy of (INSERT POPULAR GAME) I found lying around.
>It was normal just like my childhood but then on the title screen (MAIN CHARACTER) had blood eyes and when I selected to play the game it was a scream in place of the normal menu sounds
>obviously just glitched or something
And then a bunch of the game's characters are shown getting gored or something and it ends.

For videogames? Well, off the top of my head, there's Pale Luna. The original Ghost Black was pretty nice too, all things considered (it helps it was pretty much one of the first VG pastas, before the utter overload of Pokemon pasta). Goat Jump always kinda stuck with me because it reflects how a lot of weird bootlegs can really come off as creepy.
I blame that on JC the Hyena on that trend.
Pale Luna is a good one. Never heard of Goat Jump before.
The idea seems interesting to me, but the reality is they're all garbage.
Anyone have his long-winded spergout from when the wiki removed Sonic.exe
That shit is comedy gold.
I like that morrowind one. Kinda spooky but still pretty dumb like the rest
S&K.exe is a masterpiece.
"I deeply regret to inform you all that I received some bad news.
The Admins of the Creepypasta wiki have finalkly decided to delete Sonic.exe offa the wiki, on the grounds that it was "badly written" and "had too many cliches" and "was a bad example of what should be a creepypasta".
BULL.
FRIGGIN.
HORSE SHIT.
As you can see I am FURIOUS with the fact that my masterpiece, which has won the hearts of millions and has made a massive impact on the internet, is being brought down by a bunch of jealous, arrogant, exceptional FURRY-HATERS.
BUT.
That does not mean I am just going to sit down and take this lightly.
NOOOOOOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE.
They have been messing with the bull, and now they've called out the horns!
Listen everyone, I need your help with this. We are at WAR here. I want every Sonic.exe fan who is reading this to get the word out! I want you to tell every other Sonic.exe fan out there, every fanatic, every artist, every follower of my creation about this. Tell your friends who are also Sonic.exe fans if they have to! Tell them we have to keep the spirit of Sonic.exe alive!
Make more fanart, make more videos, block the haters, praise Sonic.exe like you never have before, build websites dedicated to his greatness, whatever you gotta do to keep him alive and strong, JUST DO IT.
The deletion of Sonic.exe from the wiki is but a minor cut on our flower of greatness, my friends! And that cut has done nothing but further the spreading, and we are the pollen of this flower! We need to prepare for our victory over the Haters! The Haters need to BLEED for their crimes!!
Rejoice, my fellow Sonic.exe Fans! Our glorious little Hellspawn shall have the laugh yet!
THIS will be his ultimate victory!
The absolute subjugation...
OF THE INTERNET ITSELF!!!!"
Post kino creepypasta that aren't posted in these threads 24/7

Jesus Christ.
I liked one called Mr. Mix.
Thanks. That's the good shit.
I never got the deal with Goat Jump, nothing about it really strikes as weird or creepy
That’s JC’s spacing, not mine. Sadly, for him at least, he suffers from severe autism.
Jesus Christ, this reads like a Fawful monologue.
One of my guilty pleasures. Along with reading fanfics.
No need to be ashamed, user. We all have guilty pleasures here.
That makes more sense than it should.
This fag's mental
He’s a furry. What did you expect?
What's the name of that one with the super obtuse text adventure that leads to 'treasure'? That's one's short but sweet.
Pale Luna. It was good. Feels like the Candle Cove of video game creepypastas in a strange way.
Which one is this?
I wish there were more non-supernatural video game creepypastas. Pokemon Black and Pale Luna work because they could actually happen. People hack games. People make games.
The Princess/If You See Her, Turn Off The Game.
Most are dumb as fuck.
The xorax is the only readable one I can even think of.
Thanks.
I agree with you on that. I tend to find the hacked game scenario a bit more interesting than the typical haunted video game cliche. Not to say I don’t like the haunted ones, a few of them are actually decent, but they’ve just been done to death at this point.
Only two creepypastas have ever creeped me out. One was a story of this guy who had weird shit going on, so he decided to set up a camera. When he watched the footage (in his room), he saw some creature crawl out from under his bed, stare at the camera, then stand over him as he slept. Then it crawled back under the bed and he saw himself get up and grab the camera.
I also got creeped out by this (sadly reddit born) story about this guy who was a search and rescue officer and just told stories about shit he sees in the woods
Mario
The only one I like is that Morrowind mod with the skies. Most everything else is just too much for me to stay invested.
I wish that the Godzilla NES game didn’t get cancelled. It actually looked like it would’ve been fun to play.
They're atrocious but I miss the trollpasta wiki with all the unintentionally awful pastas.
I liked the Mario Theory one that took place in Ukraine.
Mario Siro Lombardi?
Yep. That’s the one.
They bad.
I can't enjoy scary stories without at least an attempt at verisimilitude. Video game creepypastas don't have any by default.
