It’s a common Japanese trope for the “new” generation to be much better than the old one for contrived reasons. In DMC it seems to be that the more human you are, the more powerful you are because you fight harder or something. That being said, I doubt that Nero is stronger than Vergil or Dante yet, but he’s close, certainly a lot stronger than DMC3 Dante who’s only a few years younger and probably has a stronger DT than Dante, not counting his Sin DT.

Honestly everyone should be just as shocked as Vergil. Where did his power come from, he's barely a quarter demon if anything, he's just young realistically.

There has to be a reason why he's that powerful at the end that maybe they'll divulge later. Other than being Vergil's son, there has to be more.

Well his DT is more angelic than demonic, like Credo’s, and he has a weird stand that’s somehow strong enough to almost one shot base Dante. I’m betting the order did some weird experiments on him when they found out he had demon blood.

Human blood makes demons stronger, and so Nero being more human should make him more powerful.

It's kind of a shame that DmC did the angel/demon mix thing already, would be a way for the franchise to add more variety to enemies/settings in the future. Alternatively, your DT seemed to be partially based on your personality/soul, so it makes sense for former holy knight Nero to have an angelic touch to his DT.

DT Nero is probably pretty strong but not quite at the level of the Sin DT at the brothers have.

Is the best line in the entire game because it's a mad tired of useless violence. Nero would've fought Dante if he didn't decide to back down. He literally fucking says that they could settle their differences with words rather than fighting, you fucking braindead mog. People like you are why we can't have nice things.
