It'd be a smart move from Sony, they're clearly in the lead this gen because of the kinect disaster and then outputting more good quality exclusives. Everyone's getting sick of microsoft, Crackdown 3 was godawful, sea of thieves was a trashfire.
Sony could lock down the console market considering they don't honestly compete with Nintendo with their playerbase.
On one hand this could be great. Microsoft are a shitty company and the IP's and devs under them could be better served elsewhere.
The downside is Sony are also a shitty company and giving them complete free control of the console industry is more likely to be awful for everyone.
But whatever happens, it'll be a fun shitshow to watch.
