The only reason why Microsoft is doing this is because the Xbox brand got humiliated this gen. If The Xbox was in PS4's spot, this wouldn't be happening and you know it. Xbox games sell to terribly on the Xbox alone that the only way to actually sell them is to put them on other platforms.
