Yeah, KH2 has the best final boss in the series.

i liked the theme in one more.

definitely better than 3
>just hit that one guy lel
>wow you won, what a good boy you are!
>buy the dlc paypigs!

>half of the boss fight is in the air/underwater

What where they thinking?

>What where they thinking?
My guess? They spent too much money and effort to make that shitty pirates world and they wanted to use the underwater mechanics as much as possible just to justify their expenses.

Earth/Air/Water

Terra/Ventus/Aqua

Riku/Sora/Kairi

Yeah.

3's didn't have that much of a spectacle compared to 2's final boss.

but this part early one was pretty neat

WHY is KH2FM so fucking perfect?

it took what was wrong in KH2 and did it's best to fix it. It did a great job.

I don't know if KH3FM will be able to provide the same level of fixes

3FM cannot fix:
>Firaga being spammable cheese
>elemental cufflinks giving free -za spells
>Giant circular arenas for all boss battles
>humanoid bosses slowly walking toward you and being nonthreatening
>that final boss battle being the most blasé, uninspired drivel I have ever seen in terms of gameplay
>Dark Inferno being a joke of a boss

Donald using Zettaflare was the only good moment of 3. And it was literally retconed on the spot.

i liked master xehanort's final phase a lot, while it wasn't as visually insane as KH2's, it still had some cool moments.

>xehanort's teleports are keyholes
>he steals sora's light entirely
>PATHETIC
all he needed to be given was keyblade transformations and his fight would have been 10x better

>le kino!
Fuck off, the gameplay actually has to be good for that to count.

Critical mode could have adjustments that fix all of that though.

Crit literally cannot fix this. The humanoid bosses DO NOT have enough attacks and variations within those attacks to be threatening. It doesn't matter how aggressive you make them if their aggression is the same two or three attack strings over and over again.

Hey, it works for the FF characters in 2.

Y’know. I haven’t played KH3 yet; did they finally make party members useful or do they still only tickle enemies and Sora does everything himself?

3's Final Boss is the best one. The final battles are all well done and actually play up the gameplay.

The fight with the dragon in the void is atrocious mechanically. The only good part of 2's final battle is the final fight with Zebra suit Xemnas, and even that is half cutscene. Compare Xehanort's EXPIRE attack where he throws literally everything at you and you're expected to block/evade it all to Xemna's final attack which is just another QTE, one that is only possible to fail if you actually don't do anything for like a minute.

party members can solo bosses for you here's a video for proof:

Oh damn. I did not expect those spoilers

based Roxas

to actually answer his question though, yes party members are 200% more usefull in KH3, this is the only instance of a member being this nuts in the game though

Arendel was trash but that Heartless wolf boss was the raddest shit ever

Disney just wouldn't let them do anything with that level I guess. They struggled so hard finding things to do with it that Disney would allow that they added an extremely strange and out of place dungeon that had nothing to do with the actual world

So why include it if all they're going to do is a boring disney rehash? Legit they could have just made a cutscene and called it a day, feature an actual world instead of dicking around on a mountain 3x and fight a random heartless.

I imagine Disney insisted on it because of the sequel coming out soon

KH2 is better mostly by how over the top it is. KH3 does this with gameplay alone though.

I hate the whole "bad guy transforms into some random bullshit giant thing that's completely unrelated to the entire game" shit that japanese games always do
