A career-driven woman in a Japanese workplace is going to be pissed off almost 100% of the time.

And it's justified too. Her boss treats her like a joke and forces her to work with a teenager who is held up as having investigative abilities superior to hers. She has to work twice as hard as anyone else would in her position plus take care of her younger sister. The stress that would generate makes her shadow very believable. The only question is why the shadow looks like that -- there is really no solid hint in-game that she feels repressed or plain except for maybe that conversation about shoes.

The pyramid feels like a hiccup in the story. I know, seven deadly sins is a big thing. But it didn’t feel very solidly explained. And I didn’t like Futaba enough to do her link and get any possible info on it. The whole idea that there is some research or organization out there that knows of this other world is never quite explored.
They went to such extent to explain the whole Museum gimmick of getting that door open, but they never come back to that idea.
Also linking every palace owner (with the exception of the first) together just felt corny and weakened the overall plot.
I can go on but I don’t have a clear way to organize my thoughts here

That's been a thing in every mainline Persona game except 4. In 5 it just happens to be a government conspiracy group instead of a private enterprise.

The Factory is by far the worst dungeon. It's incredibly long and boring, doesn't even have a real boss, and is generally the worst written part of the story. I genuinely feel like it was the last thing they worked on, the whole thing reeks of filler.

And even in 4, the main antagonists of the game explicitly knows about the other world the whole time

But yeah, especially plotwise it felt like they weren't quite sure how to go from Futaba's palace to tackling the conspiracy so Okumura's palace was the last one they came up with. Also explains why Haru is such a non-entity throughout the entire game.

The worst palace was that space thing. I don't know why, it just got imprinted in me as the worst one.
The one where you get Makoto as a party member is the most forgettable. I can't even remember what its theme is.

And Iwai and Tae.

Not hard, even without a guide. You should do the fortune teller confidant whenever you can since she can give boosts to rise the affection much faster. There is also the case of Sojiro, where his confidant will stop for months, so there is no use to waste time on him after the first 3 confidants or so.

And is even possible to raise all stats, do the fishing, videogames, books, etc in the 1st playthrough.

It was all downhill after the museum honestly, and broke apart thematically after the pyramid. I honestly got really fucking bored during the boat dungeon and dropped the game around when the rats started showing up. Backtracking in a turn based RPG has always been a big no-no.

It could be a reward for making their confidant out in the previous playthrough. When a certain point in the story comes, the confidant gets sucked into the relevant palace and becomes a party member in NG+.
And lots of games add tons of new content on NG+. It would be cool and a great reward for making out a confidant and finishing the game

Max a confidant and in that playthrough you can fuse their max level Persona while in NG+ you get the reward of having their confidant abilities from the first day you meet them. Most of them are too old or too young for the Persona treatment anyway, same reason Sae won't be a party member

Persona 5 is the game of the generation for me. I'd happily double or even triple dip. And I'm not even a huge waifufag, I just think the game is overall very well made.

Why do people say that 4 is the best one? I recently played through it, and really didn't enjoy it until the end. Inaba is pretty boring, the social links suck (except Kanji's), and the characters endlessly suck your dick. The final few dungeons with Nanoko's hospitalization and the creepy fog were done really well though, and it was the only time I was engaged in the story.

Pretty sure there was a cutscene showing she wasn't actually falsifying evidence, just going through unscrupulous means of scraping together evidence that she could use to string together a narrative. The one where Goro was all "if you do this you're no different than the Phantom Thieves." When they found the fake calling card in the principal's office, it was clear Sae wasn't the one falsifying it, the card was planted there by someone else (probably Goro) so that Sae could find it and then go after the Phantom Thieves.

Persona 5 was my first traditional JRPG that I ever played and finished. There were times when I got burnt out from it and shelved it for 6 months at a time but I finished it late last year and I miss it man. That game was something. I miss the Music the most. Doo do dodo doooo doo do dodo dooooo dont take off my mask my place to hide.

Rat puzzle overstays its welcome, and people end up getting used to do palaces in one day (unless you're forced to split it up like with Madarame and Sae's) so Shido's is a marathon slog.

If Atlus releases an updated P5 and I can't fuck Sae then what's the point? She would make a great romance option!

I didn't find Shido's evil political monologues very interesting, but I liked that the ship at least tried to give all the individual party members a moment to shine while confronting the different bosses.

- Ability to hang out with more than one person at the same place at the same time if they both like the same place, with character interaction between the two. For example, Haru and Futaba in Akihabara, or Ann and Yusuke at the Planetarium.
- More "hang out with one person and run into one or more other people" events. Like you take Kawakami to the art museum and run into Haru and Yusuke or something.
- More hangouts/dates in general for the characters who have little, especially the adults.
- For PT story hangouts, more actual moments that don't just involve plot and/or studying. Let the group actually gel together as a group. Especially places like Hawaii and Destinyland, show the characters actually doing shit and having fun together for more then two minutes before the big crazy plot shit happens.
- Speaking of Hawaii, give the player a mini-schedule for the three days where you can choose activities to do and/or places to bring friends to, which can give you stat points, confidant points, or unique items. Maybe even let you rank up a confidant if they're just at one of the "talk about stuff for a bit" scenes.
- Cannibalize the assets from the dance games and add a dance club as a place to go in the game. Same idea, you can go solo or bring a friend to dance with you.
