Dante felt great in 3 but not as great in 4 and 5. V is different but not wonderful to play as. Nero is king of both games.

Takes a while, especially if you used Cer3 alot. your BnB isn't just raw Y, you gotta use style button alot, be it hold or press. Also the fire attacks don't require mashing, so you can press it once and then charge for thunder already, so while the fire attack ends you have thunder ready and can sneak in some ice attacks in the way.

I actually really liked it, not a fan of the combos of autists like Kyo or Donguri where they just switch out shit super fast and is hard to follow the action, but this one is clear and gets to the point, so bretty good user.

No, his character is clearly defined in 5, it's just that the dialogue V gives surrounding his transformation into V is kinda shitty. He did try to save people in redgrave, was in the prequel book, I legitimately don't know about dmc3 I've heard both.

I think my favorite part of his arc was the real subtle acting he ahd when he came back where Dante assumed he was still crazy and evil, rightfully so, and jumped at his throat but he legitimately didn't want to fight. Great visual story telling in that part.

I love gerbera so much, it looks and feels so awesome to use it midfight to dodge an attack while also blasting yourself and enemy up diagonally into the air

Ice: revolver, icicle launcher. Ice ball is decent against fury
Fire: pole dance is a cooler alternative to Helm Breaker, the combos are good filler to keep style
Lightning: the neutral normal have really long range and the forward combos rack up style hard. Lightning ball are decent at juggling enemies

So far its hard for my brain to catch up with style switching so the long juggles with ez mode combos like summoned sword juggles is just me not having any creativity. I'll work on it. Lady, Trish and Nico have playable character data in the game according to the re modding community, they aren't playable, jsut preliminary stuff. Vergil however is fullly playable and is only missing some polish and a handful of moves as well as a weapon. Crewcut is an npc though.

As much as I want to see Nico witha gilgamesh armor mehc, I also want to see Morrison using a Pandora exclusive move set with a white guy devil trigger.

DMC is one of the rare cases where the English voices are the original/developer intended (Bayonetta is another example), it's the Japanese that's the dub.

I like to think that the reason Rebellion unlocked Dante's power in 3 wasn't because it was designed specifically for him, but it brought his demon and human sides much closer together.
We can speculate that Virgil got his power by actively seeking out the demon side of his, while Dante never bothered doing that - so really it was like a shortcut for him.
(Then again, Rebellion sort of 'awakened' when Dante also 'awakened,' so maybe it was designed for him anyway?)

So what gives? I beat 19 and 20 without continues but the Battle for the Ages achievement didn't drop. I'll admit that I didn't beat Vergil on the first try as Dante, but I never used the continue option. I always restarted the mission.

Beat the game in Son of Sparda, it's an ability that allows you to equip all weapons in the game (So you can have Rebellion, Sparda and DSD in your rotation if you want) you need that ability to get the achievment for mission 11

At the devinity statue the first one you see go left from it,, you'll see a wall where nero comments he "needs to get airborne to go over it" or soemthing. double jump then gerbera over it, then punchline surf all the way to the top, there's a few punchlines on the way up if you brun out before then.

Everything about Nero's gameplay design is so satisfying. Sure he doesn't have as many options as Dante, but he's still a complete character with his 8 breakers (I don't have the DLCs, so I'm sure he feels even more complete with the DLC breakers).

Look, there's nothing wrong with fapping to Kyrie. Just don't get triggered when people call out how weak of a character she is. Compared to DMC3 Lady and even DMC1 Trish she's super underwhelming.

Also useful characters are generally more compelling than useless characters, yes. Nico doesn't fight directly but at least does things and has some decent interactions with other characters. Kyrie's one good interaction is the phonecall at the end of 5.

Vergil didn't have a paln besides "FIGHT BROTHER" because his brain and body were fucked. He didn't come to his senses till he seperated and he was basically trying to stop himself every step of the way with help form his brother. When he reforms he didn't even want to fight Dante till he attacked him. It's further show when he has that soliloquies.

V is the funnest to play with and actually involves using some planning and situational awareness compared to Dante and Nero unga bunga on everything the moment they stagger.

V is much harder becasue most og his hits lack power on certain enemies so stagger them can be almost rng against anything but weaker moots where as with Dante and Nero use a certain move and it automatically opens up enemies to getting comboed to death.

Also have to know when to dodge which will force you to reset your familiars and positioning thus changing you strategy and approach which does not apply to D and N

Getting good with V is much more enjoyable and fun Op.

i give DMC6 produce full credit for finally fleshing out nero in DMC6 and making him his own thing compared to DMC4 where playing him over Dante was boring and simple.

Now Nero is just as complex as Dante.
If they can bring back V in DMC6 hopefully he gets the Nero treatment and they address his flaws and make him even better than he is now

Vergil didn't have any plans when he split himself in two beyond staying alive and getting rid of his humanity to become stronger. His humanity in form of V clearly comes to regret these actions, he gets the DMC crew involved to stop his feral demonic form and seems ready to die to atone for his sins, this only changes after his talk to Trish where he realizes he should try to mend things with Dante. This part of his personality gets somewhat subsumed after they merge again but it clearly changed Vergil, he even thanks Nero for helping him, something that's quite out of character for Vergil.

The brothers still end up fighting because that's what they've always done but they get over it in the end because the events changed them.

He never said it wasn't to not die either. Vergil himself said he was running out of time. Part of getting more power requires not dying, user. He's gotta worry about dying before he can pursue power. He didn't need to be Urizen to summon the tree, he needed to split himself to survive long enough to do it.

Gun move's shit though, won't lie. Felt worse than manually aiming the Kallina ann's for the lasers and that added risk of getting the breaker broken due to being a sitting duck also undermines it

Wild Stomp and Crazy Dance are Crazy Combos, and they removed all crazy combos in 4 because some of them required a lot of mashing to actually use. Free Ride would be harder to implement in DMC4(and 5) because most of the enemies are different shapes and sizes, whereas DMC3 has a lot of enemies the same general size/shape(and you could only Free Ride on the Hells/Abyss anyway, which all had the same general shape anyway).

Just move away from all projectiles except, the laser. Jump over the laser beam (jump, air hike, 2-3 charged shots and air taunt in that order for maximum air time), jump when you see the blue orb (time stop) so it goes over you in the air, same thing with fireball. Against everything else just move away, as you can see the places the projectiles will land. Go in when no laser. GG ez.
