Nintendo still hasn't recovered unfortunately. No notable first party games coming out this year, original Prime 4 was canceled and the game is being redone from scratch.

Every age is "golden age" considering the vast library of past titles. There will definitely always be something out there that you haven't played that will interest you, regardless of the age.

What matters is that there are upcoming games that interest you, and I am happy for you. I am looking forward to some of those as well like Bloodstained and Shenmue III.

The artstyle reminds me a lot of Freedom Wars which is cool (that game 100% deserves a sequel), and I guess the gameplay is fun too after watching the trailer again. I'll keep an eye on it. The chain stuff reminds me of Freedom Wars thorns too.

Nioh 2 will probably be good, but they can't look amazing if they haven't shown shit for it

Yeah, it wasn't exactly the highlight of the direct for me at first but I watched it again and it looks solid. It was also rumored like 2 years ago so there's been a lot of speculation as to what it was even going to be. I like bayo and clover games so I'm sold.

Most of the circumstances surrounding these releases are negative. Halo, Castlevania, Final Fantasy, Rune Factory are all being sold at a quick cash grab so their companies can recuperate financial loss. While XV and KH3 were developmental blunders and were released in an unfinished state so their DLC is being offered as an apology. As for unreleased games it remains to be seen whether they'll be good. The Sony games, Shenmue III and Bloodstained have all made the rounds at multiple E3s yet haven't seen a release and are probably also in development hell.

There's always a Golden Age in the industry whenever Sony is in charge.
