I bought this game yesterday. It is pretty fun and comfy although a little excessive with the text. What do you reckon of it?
This makes me want to start using my 3ds again.
i might pick up xenoblade chronicles next.

I've tried to play this game on like 3 separate occasions and every time I just find myself bored out of my mind.
Literally everything about the game isn't just... why? Why is there some dumb fucking beach with teeth everywhere? Why does block Monsieur exist? Every fucking things feels so needless and stupid.
Overworle movement (as either the Bros or Bowser) is a cumbersome slog.
Combat was also boring as hell.
Probably one of the most overrated RPGs Ive come across imo
any M&L game with starlow is nowhere as good as the ones with stuffwell
I personally really enjoy the combat and its easy as fuck so its a pretty chill game for me. I do agree its over rated and does feel like a slog sometimes because of the extreme text. Plus block Monsieur is annoying as fuck.
I've only played the original, but I've been meaning to pick this up for quite some time since it's the only M&L game so far that I haven't played. My opinion may be biased since I love this franchise to death, but the game seems good to me. I mean, it's freaking Inside Story, the game regarded as the second best in the franchise. I'm really looking forward to Bowser Jr.'s Journey, I've heard good things about its plot and character development.
>Why is there some dumb fucking beach with teeth everywhere?
I'll take that over a generic New Super Mario Bros styled beach that we've already seen a million times by now. Also, have you played any other M&L game before? Try out Superstar Saga, it's often considered to be the best in the franchise.
I think if I went back to it and stuck it out, I didn't probably enjoy it. But it's so boring and I don't think I chucked once at the dialogue. It was just. Walls of text. For no reason.
I haven't but would be up for it. Prob the first one.
And yeah I get what you mean. But if you're gonna have unique environments, give it some actual flare and good design, y'know. Besides, normal beaches are always pretty comfy anyway.
Would probably enjoy it* goddamn
my reaction to this post is... why?
I do agree that it looks weird and it makes little sense, but think of those teeth with cavities not as actual real teeth with actual cavities, they are probably just rock formations with dents. The place was called Plack Beach probably for this reason, because of the resemblance and not in a literal sense. It also sort of makes sense, the whole point of Inside Story is to add elements of what you would find on someone's body like the cells, organs, body parts, and all of that. They just wanted to represent that to some degree even in areas outside of Bowser.
