Antimatter Reveal

Rising Storm 2 devs are about to reveal something, any ideas what it might be? Looks to be something Cold War from the lit areas. Maybe RO3? Hard to tell.

Probably another bugged to hell early access with a cosmetic shop.

>12.03.2019 - day of our reveal! Everyone gather up!
>Just kidding wait 24 more hours ;)

Yeah, that was really retarded.

If its a scifi shooter with their arcade/realism hybrid gameplay, count me the fuck in.

sounds like ass
count me out

Don't worry, I doubt it's sci-fi. The pic they attached of text on a monitor looks 80s as fuck and all the lit spots had conflicts or something major going on during the Cold War.

still sounds like shit
i mean its the same people who fucked up RO and RS so i dont hold hope

youtu.be/1u9oyFkXca4
83

really?
thats it?

I wish we had a C&C Red Alert FPS

RO3 Afghanistan, works perfectly as a twin game to RS2 Vietnam

>Cold War gone hot FPS
Finally.

>This sound and muzzleflashes

>He never played A Path Beyond
Poor sucker

>Cold War FPS
We really need more than just OP Flashpoint in this time period.
Low-tech enough to be infantry based, high tech enough to be gadget based.

Hopefully there's some oviet-afghan war shit in there.

What do you expect from Antimatter games?

>Rising Storm 2: Alternate History!
Probably will run like ass, since it's Unreal Engine again.

What if it was a sort of compilation of various lesser known wars? I don't think my heart could handle that.

I think sound design and muzzleflashes were better in RO2 and RS2.

>dude epic retrowave
>literally a skinswap with automatic for everyone
So RS2 but even worse, I hope they never make another game.

Don't worry, I doubt they will.

>Cold war
please don't fuck it up please don't fuck it up please don't fuck it up please don't fuck it up please don't fuck it up please don't fuck it up

nevermind just saw the trailer, this will do HOLY FUCK

>any ideas what it might be?

another MMS in UE4, early access and the usual Tripwire "quality".

Attached: dog-shit-on-road-260nw-1094864393.jpg (260x280, 27K)

>Someone made a stock image of a dogturd.

Huh.

>usual Tripwire "quality".
Tripwire isn't publishing it, though. So Antimatter's actual hack code will be on display.

>(((Kikewire)))
>Cosmetics
>Shit tied behind events
>PC Gamer, Alienware etc exclusives
>Muh level unlocks
>Unreal Engine
>Easy Anti Cheat rootkit

It is already fucked up

i just want another world in conflict

looks boring as fuck. No reason to play this over insurgency or squad. Should have gone sci fi. A gritty realistic sci fi shooter has not really been done outside of mods and would be cool.

>WW3
>R.O.N
>Russia 2055
>Insurgency 2
>Squad
>Post Scrotum
>RS2
>'83

Not the most exciting trailer, but the fact that it's UE4 gives me some hope that it won't have the jank of RO2/RS2.

Are they finally moving on from an engine that's been Abandoned for 12 years?

Why the fuck its called some boring ass name like '83 instead of the obvious choice of calling it red orchestra 3? What were they thinking?

>What were they thinking?

probably that its a WW2 specific term and wouldn't fit in that time period.

>Unreal Engine

Shame, another dead on arrival

Name a better engine that's more feasible/affordable for small studio that has already experience in Unreal Engines?

CryEngine
not him btw

that's the first time I see my country (Algeria) mentionned in a video game. I just assumed americans doesnt know we exists.

>(((Kikewire)))
No sign of them yet and they haven't even tweeted about this.

Probably because Tripwire owns the red orchestra name and they're not involved this time.

Looks decent.
I'm kind of burned out on Insurgency so this could be fun.

next up:

'89 South America
'92 Bosnia
'93 Somalia
'99 Serbia

>burned out on Insurgency so this could be fun.

Isn't it practically identical? What would change for you except the setting and a few guns?

game about Algerian War when?

(Spoiler) Rhodesia (/spoiler)

could be kino but unlike vietnam it's not U.S related so unlikely

>modern weapons
Please I just want another gritty Stalingrad/Pacific Island multiplayer video game

>Isn't it practically identical?
I don't think we've seen enough gameplay to be able to say that.
The RS games and Insurgency also play differently.

there are only so many conflicts in the bolt action era and they already did the Eastern Front and Pacific, why would they do it again other than through a remaster?

What's wrong with UE4? I've only played like 3 games that use it, but it seems to look and perform fine.

They could remake it from scratch with a proper engine and actually deliver on their RO2 promises, this way they could maybe focus on stuff like vehicles, bigger maps, less bugs etc
RO2 Vietnam doesn't feel very good because you still have the heavy gameplay, which worked before thanks to slow weapons, but with fast weapons it's just frustrating and out of place (I'm not saying that slow gameplay =/= good, I'm saying that they should stick to older conflicts)

Insurgency Sandstorm runs like cancer.
They fucked up optimization and texture streaming so bad it's unplayable for half the people who own the game.

AG is bongs though.

Nothing, it's retards who think its the inherent engines fault and not the devs who code on it

I just hope they add ground vehicles. Their FAQ says it's going to be 80+ players and combined arms but doesn't specifically say what kind of vehicles.

Honestly I hope they move away from the RO2 formula in general. I mean I like RO2 but it has a lot of "muh realism" features that just make the game clunky.

How do you know that's not just the devs fault though?

that was in the beta, runs way better now, not the best, but better than before.

>80+ players and combined arms

I pity the poor fuckers who get in the few tanks/APCs and get instantly targeted by 40 enemy players. It's going to be a cluster fuck

So, Cold War gone hot FPS?
Pretty cool if it stays realistic and not full of MURRICA bias.

like clockwork

Eeh

If you want to sprint-shoot everywhere like a retard just play CoD or Niggerfield if you don't like RS2's muh realism features.

Well if it has class limits like RO2/RS2 then most of the players won't have weapons capable of attacking armored vehicles.

Maybe i can finally use the FAL because people refuse to vote Aussie in rising storm 2.

STICK A PUNJI UP YOUR ASS

they'll have to be creative with the factions and scenarios to keep my interest. have the East German vs. West German armies, Poles and Czechs vs. whoever, Soviet paratroopers in Berlin or Paris or something. Hopefully they use some iconic locations or cities for maps rather than just dull looking maps like the one in the teaser

Reminds me of RO2. Shit tons of maps, people play only the same 3-4 over and over again.

What's the point of all the content in the world when these morons only play shit they're comfortable and familiar with? I hate the fucking playerbase

I mean little things like how your gun adjusts to walls or ledges and but never works right so you end up shooting into a window ledge instead of through the window, or the bizarre decision to give you a full map but not a minimap.

>cover is taller than you
>complain why he can't magically shoot over
>"waaah where's my minimap"
fucking casual

It's way worse in Day of Infamy.
In RS2 and RO2 you can go to custom map servers.

pretty much every game with map voting ends up with the same couple of maps being played

>not Cold-War-Gone-Hot RO3
>shitty muzzle flashes and sound design
At least I have the MCC on Steam announcement to keep me happy.

Attached: 1526970675029.jpg (1000x1000, 255K)

I'm kind of sick of tripwire-lite making back to back half assed shooters. I'll play the next one made by actual tripwire that will last for 3-5 years

Attached: 1550000481239.gif (700x285, 3.38M)

RO3 in all but name considering it's literally cold war gone hot

I'm serious. Rising storm 1, 2 ,and this 83 are all worse than RO2 and they don't even fucking use an upgraded engine. It's fucking UE3, and not even the improvements tripwire made to KF2.
when RO3 made by tripwire comes out I'll pay attention.

YESYESYESYES

Attached: muh benis xDDD.jpg (500x672, 50K)

Looks bad honestly

I think the teaser itself is definitely disappointing but the setting has a lot of potential

Post-RO1 RO/RS games always had good production values, this looks pretty cheap since it's being produced only by Anti-Matter.

No, both RS1 and 2 are pretty cheap as well.

Wrong, worm-brain.

judging game from a teaser trailer that mostly use pre alpha footage is like judging book by it's cover

When is the reveal?

Black Ops remaster looks like THAT?!

That wasn't a teaser trailer, that was a gameplay reveal. They're not supposed to put their worst on these trailers, they are supposed to put the very best to make people want to buy the game. If that's the best they could come up with, it's fairly weak when compared to Rising Storm 2.

If they fail there is still Escalation 1985... if they manage to fund the game that is.

Joke's on you, if I vote Aussie then we play Aussie.
Owen best weaponfu.

>le sci fi
go play destiny you huge faggot

Great guano war expansion when?

Pic looks like freddy frazbear LMAO

RHODESIA

>Reminds me of RO2. Shit tons of maps, people play only the same 3-4 over and over again.

it was a bit like that in RO1, but it was a comfier more tactical experience when the max players were 32, then 64 players came later on towards the end of RO1's life

if you fucking judge the game just because of that muzzle flash you see briefly in the trailer that the dev will obviously going to fix and improve, then you're the one with problem

I'm not judging the game, I'm saying the trailer looked like shit. It's probably going to release on early-access and it'll be at least 3 years after launch before it's even remotely interesting to play. But none of that changes the fact that the point of a trailer is to garner interest to the game, and if the footage on the trailer is bad, then the game looks bad.

Whatever it is it will be horribly optimized, clunky, buggy, piece of trash.

Attached: 3a5.jpg (1280x800, 270K)

>that the dev will obviously going to fix and improve
Oh yeah. Just like Fallout 76, Anthem and BFV ;^)

>will obviously going to fix and improve,
>He hasn't played Rising Storm 2.

lmao. That shit still runs like ass two years later. Fuck off, Antimatter.

Why disappointing? I thought it looks good. Gives that c&c feel:
youtube.com/watch?v=IoQdZ4eStVc

That's the deal - last good c&c game released over 15 years. I don't want that taste in my 2019 FPS game.
