tell me why it's appropriate for karkat to end up with dave, and terezi to end up with vriska, when the two butted heads almost constantly, and even post-retcon terezi acted entirely out-of-character by accepting vriska's every whim, when karkat seemed to genuinely care for terezi, and vriska seemed to genuinely care for john (this aspect of her character was wiped post-retcon despite her having a heart-felt conversation with him moments before)

How do you guys fall in love with a fictional character written by a man? Even if a character is female if their creator is a man then you're feeling romantically towards a projection of a man's mind and creativity. This is substantially worse if they're not voice acted and from a Manga or something.
