There is a couple issues but they're easily fixed.
There is a audio issue with 1 and high fps causes glitches. Lock 1 at 120 fps. That's the max fps I've found that can be played without glitches.
Other than that, you'll have to do the usual widescreen fixes for both 1 and 2 but that's about it.
Also turn off auto aim in the options, makes it much better. I played through both multiple times before figuring that out.

Shit forgot to include audio fix. Just google Max Payne 1 audio fix or go to pcgamingwiki and download it, then follow the instructions.
I'm explaining like shit so you might as well look up a steam guide or youtube video, should'nt be hard to fix

Gunplay is excellent, animations are phenomenal, music is great. I don't use bullet time. This game will be something that I will still replay from time to time, decades from now. Will definitely buy Max Payne 4, if it's ever made.

Cutscenes are obviously garbage and make it hard to enjoy but the gameplay is decent. It has mostly the same mechanics as Max Payne 1 but tweaked, the biggest problem is how fucking slow everything is leading to play being more about landing instant headshots as soon as you see an enemy instead of the evasive movement of 1. I do wish it just kept the fast pace of 1 and just made the animations/feel better but its solid overall.
