Probably best if you play while learning japanese, since Kayama includes the Japanese, and a whole bunch of TL notes for basically every kanji.

If you do decide to play please keep in mind there is no translation for anything other than Sakura' route in the first game, so make sure you get Sakura, if you don't want chunks of the dialogue to be lost on you. Though it's not actually THAT big a deal, since route specific stuff dialogue is actually a bit low, lower than I thought it'd be anyway
