So which did you have more fun with?
So which did you have more fun with?
Both
DMC, I tried RE2 but I dropped it, it's not for me. I'm just not a fan of survival horror
DMCV but only because RE2 really let me down when I got to 2nd run.
nuRE2 is bad.
Mod removing Mr x when?
Haven't played RE2R yet. I wish I was better at DMC though. Really saps the fun tbqh.
Surprisingly DMC 5. I tried DMC 3 before and didn't really mesh well with it. So I expected to not like DMC 5 all that much but for some reason stuff clicked with me this time and I'm going through on my SoS playthrough now. Both are extraordinarily good honestly, but I think I'm enjoying DMC 5 overall more.
RE2. DMC is boring garbage.
RE2, but mostly because I'm terrible at hack and slash games
DMC5 is the better game. RE2make feels unfinished and is stuck trying to find a middle ground between two different audiences while DMC5 just feels like a genuine Devil May Cry game.
Zoomer alert
I prefer the Devil May Cry series over Resident Evil but I got them both and they're excellent.
On one hand you speak the truth.
On the other hand holy fucking reddit spacing
I'm kinda feeling the same, it's kinda boring.. I havent died yet does it get harder?
Lmao it's the omnichan app sorry, I'm a phone fag atm
DMC. RE2 was great, but I've always preferred the DMC series as a whole, and 5 is a serious contender for my favorite in the series.
RE2make is pretty fun, but I was pretty let down that all scenarios are pretty much the same now. Best part of the game was Fourth Survivor.
DMCV is going to keep me busy for years though. This game is so finely tuned and crafted.
>not liking a game from 2019 equates to being a zoomer
>zoomer core
So I just started dmc5 I think I'm 5 or 6 missions into it so far and I just went back to Nero from v, does it get harder soon or not until near the end, or did I make a mistake by not choosing the hardest difficulty?
DMC5 by a wide margin.
RE2 was still great, though.
You picked Human? That's a terrible mistake. Play on at least Devil Hunter. The difficulty jumps around mission 15.
>Not liking the game because Mr. X
Just busting your chaps m8
Shieeeet, well at least I'm not very far into it guess I'll start over.
>without cutting corners.
say that to all the segments, enemies, items, and mechanics they cut from the game without adding anything actually new
How long until the DMC cast gets modded into RE2?
DMC5. It's a new game. RE2make really lacks an intergrated B scenario and side characters weren't even as memorable as they were in the original.
Can't wait.
Yeah I meant to say they still cut corners trying to remake a short game made by a significantly smaller team a long ass time ago. Also west wing of NEST being a straight line and a boss arena makes the lab segment feel rushed.
>RE2make feels unfinished
>Compared to DMC5 with that "ending"
>all this butthurt remake 2 didnt have a completely different scenario when they said it wouldnt months ago.
>Comparing its weapons and enemies to the original when the original played different
Crows would be a pain in the ass and the ivys were lame as fuck.
That’s what I did because Human was too easy. You can catch up to Mission 6 within about two hours.
I want to see Leon as Gunslinger Dante.
love re2 its fucking amazing
going to get dmc5 soon
I know it's too complex to actually do, but I love the idea of modding in fully playable DMC characters. Just level 3 exceed Streaking your way through that horde in the jail with Nero, or Trickstering the fuck out of Berkin3.
DMC5 no contest. REmake 2 has more than a few issues but DMC5 fucking knocked it out of the park, it even runs better for me than REmake 2 does.
DMC5, but only because I haven't played REmake 2 yet. That said, I have always liked DMC far more than RE.
Ending was fine, I give it to you though, game feels rushed from mission 13 onwards. Mission 14, 15 and 16 should have been ONE mission, you get King Cerberus and you are immediately fighting Urizen for the last time on mission 17. Same vergil fight for the last 2 missions, one being a tutorial, at least on Devil Hunter difficulty. Game is still great gameplay wise though.
I don't really care about the plot *that* much, it wasn't particularly awful or anything maybe underwhelming at worst. Either way it's hardly a mark on the game as a whole.
Both are damn good but DMC gameplay is far better and more replayability
I don't give a fuck about the cut enemies. They said the game would just have 2 campaigns, a change I was willing to accept if it meant more differences between the two since I never cared for the scenario and zapping system much.
Instead I got an even lazier scenario system with most of the game being more of a retread for 2nd run then the original was.
Resident Evil 2. DMC 5 had a plethora of problems that, as usual, Yea Forums is glossing over because they're blinded by the land of the rising sun.
DMC 5 has already gotten boring for me because there's barely any post content, and all the extra shit was locked behind the deluxe edition. Also, no unlockable outfits. Go fuck yourself with a rake Capcom. I'd get more longevity out of playing Custer's Revenge.
RE2 because I like the genre more.
I loved both, but DMC5 is the better made game and also made me feel super emotional. They’re definitely both 10/10 tier games though.
They were two campaigns. No one should have expected a whole new story for both characters though. We knew they both were going ti go through similar things through different perspectives
Well, right now DMC, but that's just because I'm a bigger fan of that and prioritized buying it. Come summer, I'm sure I'll enjoy RE2.
>DMC 5 had a plethora of problems
>dosn't list any of them
Hmm
Haven't played DMC 5 (still have to finish 3 and 4)
RE2 remake was incredible to me, it's not very often I enjoy a game that much. 9.5/10 the only minor complaint I have is the sewers can be a bit annoying to navigate.
>Mission 14, 15 and 16 should have been ONE mission
That is by far one of the dumbest things I've heard suggested on here and that is saying a lot
I love both games and I can't really rank them because both franchises are among my all-time favorites. I get more out of DMC5 simply because it isn't a remake. But quality-wise I'd place them as equals.
>which of these underwhelming childrens games is less shit
You sound like you got beat up in school a lot.
I expected it to keep the idea of two concurrent stories for both characters in the same general environments. Instead what we got was both characters going through the same bosses and that whole thing with Annette. These are flaws the original game didn't have.
Ah yes, Anthem and Fortnite are pretty great right?
What games aren't for children in your opinion?
I already have in numerous other threads. Remember those long greentext posts? They were all me.
Actually I don't. I stay away from the obvious shitpost DMC threads.
RE2
CRACK WHEN WHEN WHEN
>Remember those long greentext posts?
Oh you mean the ones that everyone shit on for being retarded? Yeah I recall.
Not that guy but I think DMC5 is better but with glaring issues.
>Level design is too straightforward and a straight line without any puzzles. This makes missions abit forgettable and bland.
>Most melee enemies are too weak to the aerial mobility. I suggest giving them telegraphed ranged attacks while in DT.
>Camera isn't perfect. It spins too much sometimes and assets aren't as transparent as people would like when they block your view.
>Lock on is inconsistent. Sometimes it locks on to the closest but sometimes it doesn't. Lock on switching while moving isn't in the game for no reason when DMC3 had it.
>Some bosses are not aggressive enough and some attack's hitbox are too lenient. It feels like cheating when Urizen 3 can't even touch me when I'm in the air.
>Ending feels a bit rushed and Dante gets shafted when the story handwaves somebody's faults. This results in making Dante look unheroic when the end of DMC3 and DMC1 showed him as a full fledged hero. Nero doesn't get the proper buildup he needs. Credo isn't even brought up until the final moments. Showing his anger at being powerless might've explained why he was so angry at being called dead weight at the start.
I’m gonna get my daughter Koume one or the other for her birthday because she’s really into horror and spooky things and demons and such. Which would she enjoy more?
Really? They did it with the subway mission, they could have done it with this one had they bothered making the level not shit.
Nice deflection. The goalposts should be somewhere near the Great Attractor by now
Subway is pretty straightforward. Those missions don't intersect. You can see them from afar but you won't interact with the other characters. I do agree that this game needed one extra mission to build up Nero.
>Level design is too straightforward and a straight line without any puzzles
Can't see that as a flaw as one of the larger complaints were stupid puzzles/shit getting in the way of combat. It's been streamlined so it's one fight after the other.
>Most melee enemies are too weak to the aerial mobility
Fair complaint
>Camera isn't perfect
I never had any issue with it but I know some people have.
>Lock on is inconsistent. Sometimes it locks on to the closest but sometimes it doesn't.
Again I've never really had an issue with that outside of V and even then a quick press of the left stick fixes it before combat even starts
>Some bosses are not aggressive enough and some attack's hitbox are too lenient. It feels like cheating when Urizen 3 can't even touch me when I'm in the air
I can agree with Urizen 3, for someone who just became the next Mundus he was a pushover although it's more of a difficulty problem for most that's solved by playing on SoS and above.
>Ending feels a bit rushed
Agreed. Nero should have found out about Vergil being his dad far sooner so he can develop his emotions towards the DT payoff. I put this down to Capcom however as apparently they were pretty stingy with the budget.
It does get harder but in general, I found the Devil Hunter difficulty to be easy. Once you beat the game, SoS unlocks which is more challenging in my opinion.
Well, Level design and puzzles could've been improved instead of outright being taken out.
I think lock on switching while moving will fix most of the camera's problems. I still don't understand why it's not in DMC4 or 5.
There are some good bosses but there are some bad ones. I finished SoS so I'm measuring this through that difficulty. Goliath is lacking a decent amount of moves to make him a threat. Gilgamesh is another one. Urizen 3 really can't touch me in the air. His Beowulf attack moves have really bad hitbox on startup. I can stay on his left side in the air and he'll never hit me with any of it.
>I put this down to Capcom however as apparently they were pretty stingy with the budget.
Nigga they could have easily just written that into the story sooner. This is was Itsuno being a bad writer.
>Lock on is inconsistent. Sometimes it locks on to the closest but sometimes it doesn't. Lock on switching while moving isn't in the game for no reason when DMC3 had it.
This is completely based on controller, and how fast it can react to inputs. I had to buy a turbo to get the inputs correct. If you're using anything than a normal 360 controller inputs will be off. This is no longer an issue with me. Before I was using a knock-off brand 360 controller by shield.
