PC version brings higher framerates, 4k and Ultrawide monitor support. Reach will also be included in the base game whereas it'll be DLC on the Xbone, so if you want a non-fragmented playerbase that's the best way to go.

I can agree with developing Chief and Cortana's characters, but the story as a whole just wasn't good. It's that classic misstep of trying to continue a story that has concluded. Plus the Didact is one of the worst villains I've ever seen, ever. What were they thinking making a FORERUNNER the main villain, let alone appearing at all? They're supposed to be long-dead. It's as bad as when Mass Effect brought in a Prothean.

It's unclear on PC. On Xbox, if you already own the MCC, you get Reach multiplayer for free soon™, and then later the Reach campaign and PvE will be released as a buyable expansion. It wasn't super clear exactly what the pay structure and release schedule of the PC version will be, other than the games would be released one at a time. They said there'd be more details Sunday. Since Reach is releasing first, it'd be weird for it not to be included in a "package" deal, but I could see them selling the MCC for $x which includes multiplayer access for all games as they come out, and then you can buy the campaigns as they come out as expansions. Or they could do that, but also sell an edition that comes with all content at a discount. Who knows.

Quake Live and CSGO and that's it, end of list. I play those two games and I'm going back to Halo 3 multiplayer if it's technically solid. The problem with Halo 3 with a keyboard and mouse is, it's too damn slow. Everyone beyond a certain level will hit every single bullet with the BR/Carbine and much worse, every headshot with the snipers. Ranged combat will be OP and I doubt anyone at 343 or whoever is overseeing this port will have the brains to fix the balance. The BR could be fixed with more recoil or more spread or both. But the snipers? I wouldn't know how to fix those either. They'll either leave everything as is and ignore that it plays totally different on PC, or they'll fuck it up worse than it already is. You almost have to hope for the former, but then who wants to play a game that's entirely about controlling the sniper rifles?
