I use 10 Enterprise on my work laptop and agree it has gotten better since launch. It also runs well on my 2011 2600k PC when I've tested it. Given the choice between 8.1 and 10, I'll take 10 anyday.

I can list at least 1 thing that Windows 7 fags objectively cannot use: low overhead desktop recording. Good luck using OBS or any remote desktop applications on 7. It will disable Aero and bug out, while also nuking performance. I barely can render 60 frames a second at 2560x1440 on Windows 7 with an i7 7700k and GTX 1080 Ti, struggling to hold it and often dipping into the 30s while recording. But on 10 I can easily record 144 fps like it's a joke.

It causes nothing but problems that contextual actions such as having your mouse cursor on a specific side of the screen and making a specific movement disengages your control from any window and takes you to a stupid side bar. A keyboard has over a hundred keys for the kind of hotkeys that are implemented in touch screen devices using retarded motherfucking wizard spell movements using your basic input controller. And some of the extra control panel screens in 8 don't even have the established hotkeys or normal windows functions bound to them. Backspace does not take you one directory back, and there is no x in the corner to close. Off hand I can only recall one feature of Windows 9 that I like and it's that minimized windows have thumbnails.

What are you saying? Vulkan especially is going up to heavens. Every single emulator dev is adapting it at speed of light, resulting major performance increases. Even AAA devs are jumping on it, with Doom 2016 first having a great Vulkan mode, and Wolfenstein 2 being a VULKAN-ONLY game. Then there's the whole matter of Steam Play / Proton, which already enables Linux users to run majority of new and old DX games, almost natively.

Windows 10 has zero advantages to Windows 7. It is needlessly convoluted, sucks up way more system resources and RAM, and perpetually and continually spies on you, stealing your personal information so Microsoft can sell it to their criminal friends on wall street. And there is no way to permanently disable this spying, ignore anyone telling you otherwise. Even with everything shut off in the very sparse and un-intuitive settings, and even with registry editing and other 'upper level' admin changes, the OS will STILL connect and send packets of your data to Microsoft.
Its inclusion of DX12 (which is now moot) means nothing because there have been no games worth a shit made that require DX12. I'm not memeing on that either, there really aren't.

tried installing win7 on z390 board. the z370 usb3 drivers werent compatible even tho the boards should be more or less identical in architecture. fuck ms for their bullshit forced transition. if they manage to unverify ltsc im switching to linux permanently.
