I would say Xbox because of the backwards compatibility and lack of censorship, but considering he is a casual, he probably doesn't care about this stuff.
People that suck at games like movies and AssCreed clones, so get him a PS4. Sooner it will stop being the weeb station definitly, that tittle is now divided between PC and Switch.
My father didn't really gave a fuck about the consoles or PC I putted in his house for when I'm there, but he really liked the Switch. It's a great fix for people who like more fun and casual games.
