Why does every Japanese voice actor sound the same in every game?
It's either the over dramatic deep gruff voice
or the high pitch weak nerd voice
or the deep but quivery old man voice
Say what you will about English voice dubs, but at least they have variation and sound like every character in the game isn't voice by the same person

because Japanese people have a very specific tone in speaking, there isn't much room for variation in voice acting because of that. Like most asian languages.
Japanese voice acting sounds completely forced and unnatural too, english is so much better in 90% of cases
