This is the only game I don't regret supporting in early access. Why is it the only other extended-development indie game that hasn't completely imploded?
fuck you Zomboid
Kenshi
HOW DO I GET ANCIENT SCIENCE BOOKS
FIND ANCIENT SCIENCE LIBRARIES
WHERE ARE THEY
THE ONE I FOUND IN THE SWAMP WAS FULL OF CRAP
AROUND
KEEP LOOKING SCRUB
SOME RUINS HAVE MAPS THAT MARK THEM ON YOUR MAP WHEN USED
ALL THE MAPS WERE USELESS
AAAAAAAAAAHHHH
I'M LOOKING ALL AROUND BUT SOME OF MY BEST GUYS ALREADY GOT EATEN BY BEAK THINGS AND I'M WORRIED ABOUT SENDING THEM OUT ALONE
try exploring the deadlands
you can also buy good stuff from the trader there in the scraphouse
GOT MELTED BY ACID RAIN THEN EATEN BY BEAK THINGS
but there aren't beak things in deadlands, there are a lot of spider mechs that insert piston rods into your asshole
I RAN OUT INTO THE DESERT WITH THE ORBITAL LASERS, RIGHT INTO A PACK OF BEAKIES
GUESS WHAT HAPPENED NEXT
you're a doofus
MFW I JUST STOLE SOME FROM A SHOP
MFW NO FACE
Kenshi, Rimworld, and Starsector for recent early access that I don't regret.
Too bad the devs fucked off after release
I KNOW
Thought they had plans for an expansion/dlc island.
Did the Skeletons actually end the world?
>Locking your door on prayer day
>Telling them to fuck off
>Tick tock
>Let's rock
I regretted it somewhat at first. I bought it in alpha and knew from the beginning that there wasnt much to do yet, but it still was a bit of a let down. Im very happy with where the game is now, though. Its come an extremely long way and it has a ton of potential. Hopefully mods make the game reach it.
This game can be really comfy sometimes.
You in a week
>There is no atheism in Kenshi
Haven't heard of something of the sort.
They were pretty clear on their blog post that they're moving on to a new project though.
So how deep can you mod this game?
Would adding mechs like pic related and a completely new mounting mechanic be possible?
>"hey buddy, got your holy flame?"
>holy flame burnt to a cinder in the item melter a week ago
>"nope, prayer machine broke"
>"understandable, have a nice day"
>next prayer day the missionaries come armed
I've seen some animation mods but no idea about new creatures or anything
there are tons of extended development indie games that didn't implode
there's a cross code thread right now that game is fantastic
I'd love to see some quest mods as well
The modding is pretty simple, you cant add any new mechanics
This and Rimworld. Thank fuck for these ambitious nerds.
indeed
i mean, it is inevitable. At least they left us with a big workshop to play around with.
Does Yea Forums still hate zomboid?
literally all ive been playing for the past month and half besides couple hours on apex im sad i cant afford either games i want to mod them and my code of honor is not to mod if i dont own the game T-T
Where the fuck do I place my first settlement?
I like the idea of living near a few cities, but the only ones I've found are Holy Nation fuckers, and I want to be far away from them because I hear robotics are really good late game and I want to fuck around with them without pissing them off.
get a place with a good iron and copper deposit
Bro what the fuck is the lore of this game
Basically the world was a resource mining planet assumedly in a galactic society that got nuked to smithereens and forgotten during a war either between humans both utilizing robot technology to fight each other, or a robot faction that rebelled against humanity. The non-sentient robots are still on your side, but the sentient ones either wiped their memory, are hostile and crazy, or switched sides. Shek are theorized to be the primitive indigenous species of the planet, and hivers are theorized to have been made for the war effort since their queens are skeletons. Humans are just survivors who got left behind and forgotten and had 0 technology to work with except for scrap so subverted to a medieval-y society.
This all happened like 1000+ years ago.
You're a legend, thank you.
Are the skeletons robots?
