My social life consists of talking to friends online throughout the day, and since I work from home I don't have to travel, so it's not that hard to manage.

DMC5 was refreshing in that it took 9 hours to complete but was for the most part a satisfying and substantial experience. I see Steam reviews with over a thousand hours logged on some games and wonder how these people live with themselves.

The funny thing about those AAA titles, particularly ones like Destiny, is that they tend to recycle the core gameplay loop so much that once you've spent an hour on them you've basically played the entire game. But people like seeing shiny new things/seeing numbers go up/etc. so they stay hooked.

I'm glad I was raised on SNES/Genesis, a period where a game was as long as it needed to be. Finished Super Castlevania IV recently and I had way more fun with it than the AAA stuff I tried recently.
