Why is the goblet tempting? It doesn't look very tempting to me.

Are color of madness or crimson court a good idea to have on for my first run?
I've played the game enough to know how it works, it's just been a long while and I never completed a run.

Don't you want to know what's inside?

CoM isn't intrusive to the main game but CC is. It wouldn't be a bad idea to toggle CC off until you get your bearings and have killed a few bosses and built up a party or two, then toggle it on.

Surprised!

You have been shuffled, and go last.

Being surprised doesn't make you go last, that only happens to enemies since they don't get shuffled.

madness does nothing as long as you don't go there. if you do you get a shambler type corridor boss that does massive damage and gets massive prot at low hp. but you get some cool trinkets if you kill it a few times andd it will always tell you what dungeon its in.

CC is terrible and you should disable it.

There is no point playing without all the DLCs on. After all they increase raw number of content in the game.

currently doing a blind play through with all dlc myself.

Don't put on Crimson Court. The other dungeon are effected by the dlc and it will make the game harder.

CC has the issue of forcing itself on you even if you don't want to deal with it just yet. It replaces your town event with the mosquito one until you do the first mission, which if you do

Hit post too soon.

which if you do then the regular dungeons become flooded with vampires who are generally harder to deal with at lower levels and turn all of your guys into vampires, which is a bitch to deal with.

More enemies, more challenges, more micro managing, actual reason to pick missions which rewards you with busts (because lets admit it, busts are completely useless otherwise, who would ever upgrade hospital or church?) to build that blood supply building.

Its PURE FUN to have +2 speed +25% DMG on your bloodthirsty heroes. Being vampire is advantage /:-D

CC has a highest priority town event that triggers very early on and never goes away until you beat it, meaning you can't get 99% of town events. also by nature of existing it will replace drops with blood and trinkets that help with wasting.

If it just waited until you wanted to do it like madness does it wouldn't be too terrible. but every moment you aren;t doing it but have it enabled it's all
>HEY
>HEY LOOK AT ME
>YOU WANNA UNLEASH THEM DON'T YOU?
>C'MON IT'LL BE FUN

Are you scared of the big madlad with his pile of wood or something? He is both human and 2 sized, so what is there to be scared of?

user, the game has vast issues with RNG: what heroes you get, what quests you get and what resources you get, what trinkets you get, what dungeon layout you get and so on.

The combat is fucking fine - learn what the fuck crowd control abilities are. Either shuffle them or else stun them

A-user, i'm scared. What if someone turns into a vampire, whatever ill i do!?

See, i'm so scared i can't even talk right. That should be proof enough
