I shit on Sonic Team all the time my guy. But the truth is Sonic Team is a major defining part of Sonic at this point. Whether you like it or not Sonic Team makes the vast majority of the games for the franchise. Almost every game is heralded by them and even the third party content NOT made by them still needs to get permission from them.

Overall its just some movie about some long lost relative wanting to conquer/unleash Africa's potential via ruling over the entire world, and Black Panther stopping him and getting his throne back.

"Green eyes" was mostly thrown around during Sonic 4's release, as part of the complaint of using modern designs for that game. Blue arms is more understandable to complain about though.
Truth is, both have fan bases that can be autistic, but with Nintendo, you have to dig for it. Notice how Sonic OCs are constantly talked about/mentioned and Mario OCs rarely are, despite similar Yoshi/Koopaling OCs existing for example.

Nah. There's one or two mentions of slavery throughout the movie and there's some kids playing basketball at the very end. Very minor moments that are inconsequential to the overall film.
To be honest there's really nothing really wrong with that movie aside of some questionable CGI and that cringy barking moment and Michael B. Those are more on the scale of Eggette or Coldsteel in that they're specific characters whereas I was referring to all the recolors and whatnot that stuff like Coldsteel specifically parodied. The kind of OCs that show up in sprite movies/comics.
