Quelling Strikes was removed and BRD doesn't get Diversion. Only have Refresh/Tactician as enmity dumps and Refresh is already on cooldown. I didn't use Tactician out of spite, because there is no way in hell a BRD should be at full aggro 20 seconds into a fight

XIV was bad from the get-go. They flayed XI and threw the skin on WoW -- the Leatherface of MMOs. They could've done something new, but instead they tried to sell out to normalfags without sacrificing their hardcore fans. And it worked, sadly. The game's design philosophy was to allow players to get in, grab their piece of cheese and get out, move on to something else, and no one can argue with their reasoning that curbing video game addiction is a good thing, and so everyone praises it. However, in doing so, they completely neutered the sense of adventure and weight XI had, and left "community" - its pros and cons - as a vestige for sexual degenerates.

They followed an MMORPG up with a linear single-player action game with cringey characters and, the unbelievable thing is, XV ended up being the more immersive, adventurous and RPG-ish of the two. What a joke. MMOs need to be recreated from scratch and SE ain't the nips to do it.

I've known several people that have played since the very early days of WoW. Up until BFA they were constant subbers and would play at least a few hours a day, a few hours a week during the slow periods. BFA couldn't keep them anymore than 3 months. I'm pretty much in the same boat as them, but I quit WoW in WoD and only off and on played since then to play with those guys. BFA is the most out of touch MMO expansion to date.

Literally bullshit as the plot wasn't character based in Stormblood at all. It was location based. We were focused on liberating two places and characters served only that purpose. There was little development and the raid was completely disconnected from the actual game leaving players with little to do in the world after liberating.

There is a significant subset of players that go into Savage and pray that they don't get targeted by mechanics, which is the same thing they've been doing in every other fight so far.

Doesn't really work too well when damn near every Savage fight will target everyone at least a few times with a mechanic that will wipe the raid if unhandled. Most get walled out by the 2nd or 3rd fight.

I know some people who have been playing almost non-stop since launch, regularly take off from work for patch days (most especially days new content comes like raids, eureka, blue mage, etc). Meanwhile my group stops raiding once we get 8 pages from the final tier and we've all gotten one coffer each, I stop capping tomes once I finish getting mostly BiS for my raid job, just get mega burned out in general when I play too much, but my friends still want to play so I keep subbed to play when they want to do stuff. Without them I definitely wouldn't continue.

If you mod, make sure to create a modpack of all the mods you have installed so that if shit ever breaks you can just 1 click install all your mods again after deleting/using start over command.

Because of the way MP ticks work, you usually want to be able to do Blizzard III > Foul on a bad tick (because Foul is 0MP). Otherwise you're waiting for an MP tick before you can actually cast something, resulting in lost DPS.

On extremely high spell speed, you will actually catch up and be able to do an entire rotation when you don't have procs in less than 30 seconds. Resulting in foul not being up after a Blizzard III.
