>Super Nintendo
Well, yeah.
It went back and forth on a lot of properties, but Cool Spot was better on the Genesis/Mega Drive.
Everyone knows Cool Spot. The sequel isn't as known.
>game that is a giant 7up ad is miles better than games we get now.
really makes you think.
Literally every kid who ever owned a Super Nintendo back in the day has at least rented this game at least one time
I had this game. The pirate ship level was fun. Dont remember the rest.
I still have my Genesis copy of Cool Spot, I loved that game.
I've never heard anyone else talk about this game, though. I can't even remember if it was any good.
It's really not that good.
but still better than today games.
I disagree.
>insert any generic mid 2000s PC shovelware
It's kinda shit, but the engine was used for the PS1 Bugs Bunny games, and people seem to enjoy those
Had this on Mega Drive, didn't know it had a PS version.
Matchbox Emergency for PC
There's a great review of that game.
youtube.com
1 was easy. Could never beat 2 because at some point in the spooky level I couldn't for the life of me figure out the trick to progressing so I just gave up after a point.
Saints of Virtue
...
i respect your right to share your opinion even if you are clearly wrong.
Damn. That IS a good review!
Tf
PS version isn't too bad except no Terminator scifi level like the Mega Drive one.
Reminded me of this.
played both on the megadrive, both were pretty well known at the time, at least every kid in my area knew about them.
this user is correct
You guy aren't even trying.
Oh shit, I loved this game. Only played it on an emulator though, never seen it on a cartridge back in the day.
my nigga. When I was little I remember going to my local shitty rental place that was in a trailer on some back roads and renting it every time. Probably woulda been cheaper to buy it at that point but I couldn't resist.
>retard zoomers think anything on genesis or SNES is some rare game no one played
These threads fucking suck.
has data east ever made anything noteworthy after the arcade era ended?
Let's say based on going into the disc based era of gaming they released only two games for the Sega Dreamcast. One was a House of the Dead shooter so it was still arcade. Then they also released this.
Hah, nice try, faggot, I played and beat it. Whose fucking idea was it to make the final boss one of those fucking sliding puzzles?
Which btw has a qt in itself
we've all played this 10/10 gem. but have you played Chester cheetah?
you are all like little babies
earth niggas report in
Most kino sims game
has a few annoying levels but is one of my all time favorites
This series in general. Literally no one I've ever met has even heard it exists. Being a giant Mecha fan and liking video games is hell lately.
I see people talk about the console Simpsons Games but I've never seen anyone talk about the handheld versions.
Simpsons Game DS was pretty good.
I played the ds version, excellent game, probably in the top 10 of best TBT games
Still waiting on that sequel, fromsoft.
I got this shit for cheap at a gamestop years ago.....Actually pretty fun.
I own that game, dude.
I'm about to start playing through this series, once I finish my Fire Emblem binge.
This game is fun as fuck a beaning some scrub in the head with a water bottle is satisfying as fuck
So why didn't you play it?
great game, loved it
>C8L Spot
How do I pronounce this? Ceightl Spot?
454164225
I will continue to post this in every thread like this until the third game is released
Dinocity, bro!
it was an alright game i liked the portal play.
Literally me and my friend played this game
>those fucking cutscenes
Man I miss this game now
First game I ever played. Only game I had for a couple years really. It sounds gay, but the sound effects and visuals were so ingrained in my head it would actually effect my dreams.
i didnt have a ps2 but i played this at a friends back in the day pretty based desu
Guys, check out this review of Cool Spot.
I saw this everyday at my videostore growing up but was never able to recall it's name. Thanks brudda
I remember somehow acquiring that game when I was young, but never playing it. I vaugely recall getting lost in a dark wilderness, getting mauled by wolves or something, and giving up.
The "eyes in the painting following you" thing early on scared my young child self. This was seriously the first piece of media that introduced me to Tim Curry, before even Home Alone 2 and Rocky Horror.
took me a long while to remember it
I remember my friend and I grinding achievements online because we were the only people in the world playing it.
The book was also dope as shit
Didn’t the Gameboy version of this have the ability to support 16 players?
Has anyone else played this shit?
MISTA MOSQUITO
The problem is, if you played both (Sega and SNES version), you don't go back to SNES version.
daemon x machina has potential.
played both the SNES games. The 2d sidescrolling one kinda sucked, but I played it a few years ago for the first time, I can see it being kinda unique at the time.
False! I rented this from Dave's Video when I was a wee lad. Also, wasted trips.
"Coctl Spot"
I had the fucking gameboy version. Now what
Nigga you must be crazy if you thought this mission didn't sell that game like hot cakes.... with tits.
Killer soundtrack.
Don't know if I'm the only one here, but I'm the only one I know that's played this
I went blind after playing for 7 minutes.
I bet none of you have played this one because I haven't published this game, and at this rate I never will.
You've already got the spine ribs legs arms and head. Just fucking finish it.
With the power of Pentium II
ps2 is full of games of that description, playing hoihoi-san right now
youtube.com
It's cute.
Unironically BattletoadZ tier..
wat is this, pls tell me more
>hyper miniature battle loli running around a room slaughtering sentient bread with googly eyeballs with a fast pace anime chiptune playing in the background
Japan is proof that not only exists but that he loves us.
I'm pretty sure the only people who played this game bought the double pack that came with Shogo.
It was one of my favorite settings though, basically a seven layered globe where the most privileged get to live on the highest layer
Unironically a good, funny game.
DS version was alright, but weird.
Like how the Alien Invasion arc was condensed into minigames.
You have awakened in me deeply suppressed memories I can not confirm are real.
Mediocre but my nostalgia goggles are powerful and I enjoy it despiet its flaws. Fantastic soundtrack though. Funny, kinda makes me think of Croc.
I have never wanted a sequel for any game as much as this.
None of us kids had it for Genesis, just SNES. Was a fun game. Haven't played the Genesis version, what's the major difference that made it so much better? Don't say music because that's highly subjective in most multiplat cases. Only games like Doom 32x are clearly worse music wise.
Probably the last Yea Forums user still playing
I did not, in fact, play this
[HAVE A NICE DAY]
I played a demo of it but never got it. I remember the ads
Played it, but via emulator. This was one of the most frustrating games ever
out, you are fired. That's one of the most popular PC platformers ever made.
Anyone play Jumping Flash, Battle Arena Toshinden, or Blasto?
Why is the cover art for Gameboy games so good?
Wrong, not enough platforms..
not saying much, but it's the best superman game, and a really fucking good beat 'em up.
I got up to a snowy section with hobgoblins. I never got past it because I was both a child and the rental copy never kept my save game between rents. One of my first RPGs. What did I miss?! I bet it’s absolute shit these days but back then I didn’t have a frame of reference.
New Brohalla, oh do I miss you
I could have been called James Pond if I took my wife’s name instead of the other way around. I REALLY considered it.
Yea Forums needs to make a comeback on Chaos desu, Epic is dead
My nigga. Wish I could get people to play this with me.
Yes
Still haven't found anyone that knows this one
I rented this game as a kid and didn't know how to play it. My mom and I went back to return it.
Nah, back then there would usually be a few gameplay differences between ports unlike ports between PS and XBox. Some games were objectively better on Genesis, some objectively better on SNES. Cool Spot was objectively better on Genesis.
Dink Smallwood
Wait...
I rented this a few times.
None of these are obscure enough to quality for this thread
I adored this game so much. I wonder if I still have it laying around. Lemme go check.
It was killer because that was Chris Hülsbeck of Turrican fame writing the music; apparently riffing off of Falcom styles for Jim Power.
Yup. I also still have Carnage Heart and Soviet Strike and all sorts. Not all of my PSX games, but a good chunk of them. Many of them were stolen whenever I threw a party.
Anyone?
I've got a couple hoihoi modelkits, mostly because I'm a shinkifag. Keep meaning to play this but I haven't gotten around to it.
This and operation darkness were both great. Don't know why I associate Operation Darkness with this though, I admit. I like Ring of Red better because of the cute girl(male)
I remember that, but wouldn't have without seeing it first. I played it when I was a kid, so I could never do shit in it, but it was a pont and click adventure game with some space shooting parts right?
Only place where I've seen Scrapland being talked about was an obscure thread in one forum around the launch day that lasted for whole 5 replies
Used to be pretty fun
>No Alundra
Makes me sad
Because it's far from obscure.
Still no friends who knows it
Makes me still sad
At least I have few Sybill pics
Who's even seen this game on a shelf before?
I played it. The flirting minigame was odd.
My favorite DS game :)
I played the demo of that game, it's good.
It's better that this game stays unknown, it sucks.
>Mariachi skeletons fighting ghosts and pumpkins
I unironically want to give you money. I love skeletons.
silky smooth 7fps
Syphon Filter 3
In cold blood
Covert ops nuclear dawn
In fact all late (2000-2001) ps1 exclusive games
Yep. Scaring women in the shower when your security clearance isn't high enough is the reason for the season.
Unironically Day of Idea, never found a translation patch so I didn't understand what the fuck was going on, but I kinda liked it
Idea no Hi is the actual name
There was this game where you can build stuff from parts, like rafts and airplanes. It was 10 years ago and I completely forgot the name. Pic related is the only thing I can remember from it. Can anyone help me out? Not sure if this game was Dutch only.
