If this even is the vaguely rumored Soviet-Afghan war game, it's probably gonna be released as an expansion on the current engine like the original Rising Storm was an expansion to Red Orchestra 2.

I would honestly much prefer this after playing Insurgency Sandstorm and seeing how much of a clusterfuck a mid sized studio creates when making a game on a new engine.
