After the success of dmc5...

After the success of dmc5, the capboss gives this guy a blank check to make dragon's dogma 2 the greatest action rpg ever made. What would you like to see added/improved from dd1?

An actual healing system and more of a focus on it being a dungeon crawler rather than an open-world game.

Use V's summong mechanics for a summoner class in DD2.

Expand the size of the world map. Add some more interesting locations and quests taking place there.

Remove escort quests.

give him the development time and budget which got cut short the first time

Yeah, maybe make a camping mechanic like short rests from DnD

I want this so fucking bad. I hate playing casters but this sounds rad.

At this point I'm convinced that whatever he wants to do with DD2, it'll probably be good. I loved the original even on PS3 and Brittleback Isle: Powerpoint Edition, so the man knows how to make a good ARPG.

I want to have more abilities equipped for each class. We had 6 skills max at a time while the whole d-pad was used up for a stupid pawn commands instead of being a dedicated skill set switcher. Also this but with dd creatues.

YOu begin by controlling little shits like shadow goblins and wolves, then upgrade to a cyclops. Minions take up a number of spell slots that go up when you level summoner. So you can pick between having a lot of little summons, or slot in a mondo summon.

Better inventory management; I don't want to have to constantly pause the game and go into my inventory just to use a consumable.
More emphasis on dungeon crawling. BBI was easily the best part of the game, and not just because the open world was mediocre.
More abilities per vocation, and more abilities able to be equipped at once. Hell, just have them all available at the same time. Assassin felt neutered since it was supposed to be this versatile red/yellow vocation but in order to actually get that versatility out of it you had to go back to the inn and change your skills. Warrior only having 3 skills at a time really blew, too.

an actual romance system

I want my main pawn to have special dialogue different from the others to make it feel like personal. Maybe the pawns can bicker amongst each other whose stronger or something

test

Expanded romance system that allows me to fuck my pawn and have it call me Master in bed.

The engine RE2 remake and DMC 5 is on is so fucking nice looking for 'photor realistic' type graphics

What if it can't handle open wold rendering

Then they should not make DD2 with it

ayy :)

Multiplayer would be pretty cool basically replace the pawns with some friends.

Please Arisen! Fuck my sister!

The moon

You have to make the action matter and not just be a metaphor for your stats. Combat was fun until you figure out that your strategy is next to meaningless next to your stat. Any game where you can actually hit for 0 damage doesn't need to pretend it's an action game. Dragon's dogma 2 needs to mess with its combat numbers so combat never feels like a waste of time.

>interesting locations
This, I still remember the bluemoon tower and the underground city from the first one.
>Better inventory management
This please
Some form of coop would be nice.
Also, you could try to do something interesting with the story other than generic fantasy trash.

I think 2 players and 2 pawns would be comfy, in case you came up with dank strats. Healing needs to get fixed becuase literally everyone and their grandma just had a mage pawn.
On my first playthrough I made a thicc Amazoness who got passed around like beer bottle and had 100% knowledge of the game on like the third day. Shit was cash.

Magic classes should have more spells like Brontide that let you do more than stand in one spot and hold a button down.

fuck yes
finally a dragon dogma battle royale

Number one thing it has to have is a fucking fast travel system. The lack of one almost singlehandedly ruined the first game.
Number two is fucktons more enemy variety, and randomized enemy placement in the world.
Number three is for the world to have a much better layout that makes exploring it not painful, and for the world to actually be visually interesting and not just dull realistic plains.

instead of randomized enemy placement I'd like something like STALKER's ai where you just had multiple factions who would patrol/send groups to certain areas

I feel like I need to play this game. Skipped out on it for some reason but it sounds pretty fun.

>Number one thing it has to have is a fucking fast travel system. The lack of one almost singlehandedly ruined the first game.

Doesn't it let you place your own fast travel points though?

It's like 10 hours of utterly amazing combat and about 40 hours of walking down empty roads while your retard AI buddies repeat the same dialogue to you endlessly
5/10 game

A giant bitterblack isle dungeon type of setting

The open world is the worst aspect of the original.

Attached: 1517570349626.gif (257x266, 1.52M)

originally it didn't, I believe. and the stones are a pain in the dick still.

Yeah hearing it was overall 5/10 is probably what made me skip it initially.

but user, Dragon's Dogma 2 already exists and is in every single way superior to the first, it just isn't localized for the US.

Attached: Dragon's Dogma Online.jpg (1280x720, 1.07M)

i want a finished version of dd1 first.
someone post that map.

I only played the dogshit vanilla release, and you get literally one, and it's basically there in case your inventory fills up so you can port back to town and dump shit then get back to the dungeon you were at.

Beyond that it takes an incredibly rare and expensive finite resource to do as well.

Beyond that the actual way the world is laid out is fucking horrible and is the least convenient thing for exploring, compounding the fast travel even more.

And finally, there are fucking Riftstones everywhere. You're telling me that these magical fucking stones that transport you into a pocket dimension and let me hire infinite people from infinite other universes can't be used to teleport? Why can't you teleport using the Riftstones?

>buy DD for ten dollars
>choose hard mode because anything less is for casuals
>get oneshotted for first five hours
>finally get to Gran Soren
>continue main quest OOPS say goodbye to your side quests
>FINE i'm going to do every single quest I see then
>start exploran and visit half of the map
>now my side and mainquests take me to places I have already been in for at least 5 times
>have to look up wiki for any obscure info because its not told by the game
>be level 60 and owning bosses in 30 seconds and rolling in exp and cash thus mainquest seems like a waste of time for how easy it is

I'm doing quests for duke now and I really don't feel like continuing after 47 hours

>greatsword users get more than 3 skills

This is my problem with the Witcher 3
I turned on enemy upscaling and it made the game much more enjoyable.

At least you can appreciate my cute wife Mercedes who is not a worthless she-goat.

I like the skill and augment system so they should continue to add more. More weapon types like spears and axes is needed. You should be able to switch weapon now too. Another skill shortcut list could be added as well by holding both shoulder buttons. Mystic knight shield should remain out during combat.

>Use V's summong mechanics for a summoner class in DD2.
God yes.

>This.... is what true power looks like, Dante

Nah, have you co-op together with both of your pawns tagging along to make a party of 4.

>First game was planned to include travelling to the fucking moon
>New engine is called 'Reach for the Moon'
Lads.

Magic can be casted quicker and also receive a damage bonus if a correct combo is inputted. Dragon Marked for Death has an interesting system. You should still be able to cast spells the same was as in the first DD, but the combo would speed the cast time up and thus be worth it.

More kickass magic.

If they insist on making it open world again they at the very fucking least need to not make sprinting drain stamina so you aren't constantly stopping and walking while waiting for it to charge up again or add mounts to travel faster.

New vocations inspired by English Civil War times
>Musketeer: Rapier and flintlock musket
>Privateer: Cutlass and blunderbus
>Witchfinder: Pikestaff and flintlock pistol. High Magic Res.

ECW was peak aesthetic and I’ve always wanted a high fantasy take on it.

a fully voiced main character

RE Engine has to do face cap and that's a pretty big part of DD
It probably will use MHW's engine

>implying
Reminder based Julien did absolutely nothing wrong and was merely pointing out the truth to her.

No

I don't think the RE engine can handle a Dragon's Dogma based on the games made so far

better overworld
higher console framerate

I don't know how any self respecting man looks at a that picture and says "yeah i wanna play a videogame directed by him".

Did you know that a person's physical appearance has no bearing on their ability to direct a team? The more you know.

What about the MHW engine?

That was DD1's engine

>moon

ctrl+f: moon
I love you user

Then just use that.

>more of a focus on it being a dungeon crawler rather than an open-world game.
Yeah, this would be a good change. I'd miss the open world, but it'd be for the best. It really didn't add a thing to DD1. Bitterblack had flaws but it was still obviously more coherent than the main game.

The problem is that you still want outdoor portions. They'd have to do some pretty tough level design to make it all coherent. And I think they'd want at least some element of non-linearity and openness. They pretty much have to take BBI and dump it outside, which would be tough.

too bad the piece of shit won't even work for me with a vpn

I can only pray for this. REngine would shine in this capacity.

What if instead of fast travel or one big dungeon, it's a more interesting overworld with a caravan system.
