Growing up poor: Yea Forums edition

Any of you guys here grew up poor?

I did, it sucked. I always had maybe one console at a time, with only maybe five games at any given time. If I wanted newer games or consoles, I'd be forced to sell what I currently own, so I never built a collection. Emulation was my friend, but I had a shitty PC so anything beyond N64/PSX was out of the question for me. I'm in my 20s now and still poor, but at least I can buy the occasional game since I have a job.

I'd be lying though if I still wasn't bitter about my more well-off friends. I still can't afford a Switch or a decent gaming PC yet.

That set-up is pretty much how my room was from 10-12 years old. Shitty ass CRT on the floor, gamecube and other consoles as well.

no I had gen 6 and all gen 7 consoles

I never had any actual console growing up except bootleg NES one.

I have like 20 switch games. I think I owned maybe 12 DS games over the console's life

Same here join the yang gang

have you considered getting a 2ds/3ds?
it's easy to hack it and get a bunch of really good games imo
