1). I would go Azur lane. I like FGO more, but that's because I'm a fatefag who's attached to the franchise, Azur lane is just a better game overall.
2). Azur Lane is more generous than fate with both items and paid currency, fate uses paid currency to summon, Azur Lane uses it to buy other things, and the summon currency is gotten for free.
3). FGO is very turn-based RPG like. You got your party of characters, they go onto enemy encounters, they use skills, classes, finishing moves, etc. Azur Lane is Bullet Hell, where you move your boat waifus around the sea evading enemy fire while trying to shoot them down.

I fucked around with Symphogear XDU and FGO for a week and then dropped them.

Not sure where you got stuck at, but try to get a basic understanding of weapon skills. Weapon skills are by far your main source of power, which forces you into building elemental teams.

Basically build teams that consist of all 1 element, farm weapons and summons of that element from bosses collosus/leviathan/tiamat/ect. Those summons will make the skills on their weapons stronger, which will make your team that matches their element stronger, gg.

DL is a lot more simple in terms of progression, but has more active combat.

E7 has deep progression in it's equipment system, with more passive combat like GBF.

If you want to continue playing GBF, I'd recommend DL so you aren't trying to play two deep progression games. Plus they're both made by cygames, so you'll have some cross-game characters and events likely.

Only gacha game I ever played that felt truly, thoroughly satisfying was FFRK. Actually felt good to beat endgame stuff in that. Very tense, very strategic. And as much as p2w helps, not just having one way to beat things was great.

Currently FGO. I'm debating keeping up with Epic 7. I've all but quit TABA and Taimain RPGX because of bad banners and the game just isn't fun. I still have RPGX on my phone and waiting on a Murasaki gacha.

Dragalia Lost and Granblue Fantasy both only have 1 server, that's how gatcha's should be.

Optimal party and equipment composition is heavily heavily dependent on what characters/gear you have access too. While yes there might be a "best" setup "these characters with this gear is most effective for this fight" kinda thing. Most people are not going to have all of those characters, or all of that gear. GBF for example some characters/summon are the cornerstones of some teams that are impossible without said characters/summons. Without them you have to do something completely different, and that's okay. Even if you did have them, it's not like you're forced to do meta build, there's plenty depth for party composition/experimentation. While it might not be "THE BEST", it can still be more than enough to get the job done.

Following meta blindly rather that grasping the concept of the core mechanics yourself are for shit tier players. Understanding the meta comes with comes with understanding the mechanics, but also brings a lot more options that you can utilize and are necessary to utilize when you're not able to follow what guides say to a T.

I have been trying out a lot of mobile games, but they never entertain me for long. I usually quit in a couple of days since that's when the gameplay gets really stale, energy/stamina becomes a problem, pay2win gets pushed hard at my face, etc.
Preferably I would like if the game was very cute since that why I was trying them in the first place, but at this point I just want a game that's fun.

If repetitiveness leads to staleness for you. Gatcha are not the game for you. I think for most this "staleness" exist but is irrelevant because the positive feeling of progression more than makes up for those feelings of staleness, which is complete personal preference.

The depth in these systems, like the RNG in epic 7's gear affixes or Granblue Fantasy's damage formula/team composition, only exist to make progression more enjoyable. While something like Dragalia Lost has very basic progression, but the action gameplay makes it more engaging to actually play, rather than progress.

No one said you have to grind autistically. You either have him or you don't. You toss him in your back line for a while and he gets there eventually.

Regardless of how he achieves it, he's straight up more resilient than Cu is, with the trade off of less offensive power.

i initially got into it for the grind aspect and the fact it was a solid looking anime style rpg. I honestly had no idea about what the story was beyond the tutorial and the little tidbits from skip synopsis.
When i get back to clearing the story missions, i might read a few, but i will probably skip the rest cause although the story is good, i cant stand the thought of wasting time in such a grind heavy game.

The bluray sets and albums are all purchases of your own volition.I myself havent bought any cause i dont have a bluray player, and i pride myself being able to flex my f2p status on my guild. You can grind almost everything they offer, except for skins. Rolls are handed out like candy almost every month, and the sparking system rewards patience for characters that you WANT.

Also the fact that being able to complete content isnt character dependent, its the weapon grid that does the work for you. I had 0 viable ssr's for my first 2 years of playing, but i still completed content just as well as my whale guildmates, sometimes even faster.

Only FGO and Opera omnia but the latter one is a bit too p2w

FGO barely has power creep and a lot of new servants are objectivly fucking garbage outside of like Skadi, with some of the most powerful servants being non limited 4*s or servants from way earlier in the game's life cycle.

Also FGO is ostensibly a single player game with no PvP elements. You can clear all content with f2p servants and CE's. There's no reason to whale unless you actually want something.

I'm trying to get into this game but I just don't see the appeal. The art is nice, the animation is nice, but I can't get attached to the characters and all I can think when playing it is(I could be playing an actual JRPG right now).

I want to like it, but I just can't.

FGO is my main game with a bit of GFL and just started Granblue.

I also installed Azur Lane, Honkai, BrownDust, Another Eden, Dragalia, Dx2, Sdorica, Epic7, and Destiny Child to try them out later. I'll probably play each for a week or two and drop any I don't like.

What are the best, most simple gacha games? The only one I've played is Kingdom Hearts Union X which is extremely basic. I'd like to try something else, but the couple I've messed with require more strategy and brain power than I'm willing to devote to something I really only bother with when I've got 15 minutes to kill. It's simple-yet-well-executed rhythm gameplay with good realtime 3D graphics. Nice large selection of songs, too, with well over 100+ voiced characters between the two games, and 150+ songs, with each game adding three or four songs per month. Nothing special, yet still a hell of a lot more interesting than other gacha games.

The only game i can enjoy playing on a touch device are Tactical RPGs since you dont need any complex inputs for them anyways. Sadly the only good TRPGs ive found for mobile are just Ports or Emulations of FFT or FE.

Powercreep is a problem for all players because it's continually moving the goalposts for what actually feels fun, engaging, or entertaining. If the only way you can enjoy the ideal level of challenge, and reward is to be near the top of the meta, and the only way you can be near the top of the meta is to spend a moderate amount of money, and the meta is constantly moving forward instead of cycling, this only results in one conclusion: The game feels unrewarding and dissatisfying if you don't spend money.

Saves time and as of the last update, you can clear them in gluts of 10 if you have the honey to spend.
I can spend an hour letting the AI autobattle through ruins grinding orbs
Or I can spend 10 tickets and have them all instantly.
I can spend an hour manually co-oping IO, or instaclear with ticketo on expert.
Basically it's just convenient to have when you're short on time or don't want to repeat the same shit over and over manually.
