Doubt it. Mercenaries worked on the basis that the models just had to do the same shit the regular characters did with maybe one or two special movements, DMC characters require entire unique movesets. It'll just be Dante, Nero and V. Vergil seems possible too I guess. Lady and Trish are a no way fag though.

They can import Lady's 4 moveset and spice it up a bit. It's Trish who's going to need a complete rework unless they just also import her 4 moveset and replace Sparda with Alastor. But people didn't like playing as Trish because her moveset was stitched together. Remember that Itsuno gave us 3 playable characters in 4SE when he only had enough budget for Vergil. He can replicate his own magic.

You know that area where you can summon Nightmare and he crashes through a building wall that reveals a blue orb? If you jump into that building there's a door on the bottom level that's a little easy to miss that you go through, follow and you'll get the nidhogg larva.

Nightmare in the first street area where you have a big fight. You can also nightmare a little past the parasite in the locked away alley to circumvent the rest of the level and go straight to the boss.

Basically the game is designed to encourage you to use nightmare in any fight that isn't a skirmish so you can naturally unlock these secrets or shortcuts without going out of your way. It's why I delay fights at the end to read my book and make sure I always have nightmare ready.

Taunts are heavily nerfed in this game though, in 3-4 you could do them a lot more during fights, here you are lucky if you get 3 taunts off that increase meter and aren't duds, plus unlike other DMCs, the style meter won't "freeze" during a taunt, so you got no way to know if it's a dud or not until the taunt finishes

Urizen did this, not Vergil, Vergil's human consciousness immediately regretted everything he did and he was fully prepared to die by Dante's hand after merging back.

The best part is the utility. Nero's Air Taunt gives you some height so you can evade with it, and Dante's does the Lucifer pop which can toss enemies up and sets up combos and juggles.
Vergil's air taunt is going to be crazy.

I never liked how blatantly they wanted him to be a little of Dante and Vergil down to the colors, even in 4. He should have been purple, like in the concept art and proto outfit, or leave that color for Sparda and give him some different one entirely. Focus on the tentacles as that means less problems when fighting Nidhogg himself. Don't be afraid to dodge, use Nightmare when all 4 are out or just Nidhogg himself for damage. The tentacles give DT when killed so don't worry about READ BOOK.

Someone posted a good explanation for 4 Dante some time ago, the same tips apply but I don't have the screenshot. Basically, you want to choose a default style, like T or SM, and only switch out of that style when necessary. Choose a combo starting weapon and switch to others when necessary.

I can see you gripes with OST though, it's not bad, but a lot of it can be forgettable in comparison to the rest of the series

Pick a style and pair of weapons as your "default" or "Home" config and go back to them whenever you're not doing something in particular.
I default on Sword, E&I, and Trickster. So I can Air Trick to an enemy, then jump, and switch to Gunslinger to do Rainstorm, then switch back. Or I can switch to Cavaliere and Swordmaster for the bike stinger move, then switch both of those back to Sword and Trickster before the animation finishes.

With DMC4 it was mentioned that Nero heard a voice from his arm saying "I need more power" when he was young. Obviously that was Vergil, I was expecting him to reveal that he conceived Nero and cursed him with the demon arm with the sole purpose of resurrecting himself should he die. If Vergils conciousness had been inside Neros arm it would explain how he knew Yamato was inside of it, and why it's all blue now (post resurrection?) But no turns out he just fucked a horny chick and had no idea Nero existed. Seems more like Vergils character to create a son to use him for personal gain but oh well

They give you a good look at Sparda but since the DT's only appear when attacking in 1 you can't really get a good handle on them as their mostly in motion.

To be honest it's less that he's weak and more that his body is breaking apart, he was more than able to fuck up Cavaliere riding the time horse-y but ended up exhausted by the end from the exertion. If anything, being able to tame a potentially unlimited amount of mighty demons and use them at your will would be half-way overpowered if it weren't for his form being unstable.

What's your control scheme for V? I'm currently using Griffon on triangle, Shadow on circle, Nightmare on square, lock-on on L1, cane on R1, DT on L2 and book on R2. I think it's pretty comfortable since I can use my thumb for Griffon and Shadow at the same time.

What are you talking about? When you are far away from tentacles, you still have to dodge and than cat has to get back to them to attack.

I hardly tap with Griffon, i mostly use all his charging attacks, only use tapping when an enemy is in the air to juggle them a bit while waiting for Shadow's attacks

Don't take in any particular kinds of smoke or vapor before starting a combo, you'll find it much stronger than you intended when you exhale 15 seconds later.
