Now the twist is, I pirated an old version. So I don't have any of the cool shit they added.
My question is if finishing the pirated game then buying and playing it all over for the content packs, extra endings (?) worth it?
Do I try to port the save to the legitimate copy?

It's unclear how the shell the holds the void is created, and it's likely the White Lady has something to do with their creation, which implies the Pale King does as well. Even if that's not the case, and the vessels are somehow entirely void, it's made very clear that the Pale King views the vessels as his children.

This is basically how I interpreted it as well, not necessarily with the identical procedure, just some form of "the bugs fugged and somehow void was put in there". It's just not ever explicitly explained how it works.

By default the void seems to 'infect' beings, you can see multiple instances of bug corpses 'crying' void or of void tendrils seeping into them.
Pale king knew about that somehow, and had the bright idea of seeing what happens if you stick bugs that arent born yet in there.
Turns out it hollows them out but still allows them function, but not always perfectly.
So he did that several uncountable times until he found one he thought was perfectly hollow.
The egg you dream nail is literally your character's egg that the little guy was born from.

If we go with Delicate Flower being the canon ending because it's the hardest to get to, then we freed the Hollow Knight and saved Hallownest from the Radiance.
Hallownest probably gets rebuilt, Dirtmouth becomes a bit more bustling and the Hollow Knight gets to live his life.
I imagine that he has Ghost's mask repaired and replaces his statue in the City with one for Ghost.

It's a slow start. I thought it was okay at first. The game really opens up once you get the wall-jump a few hours in. After that it became one of my top five indie games for sure.

I think the pacing does end up being one of the slight issues with Hollow Knight.
I feel like you can fight False Knight, Hornet 1, Mantis Lords, Dung Defender and Soul Master in relatively quick succession and then you'll end up spending ages between other fights like Hornet 2, Broken Vessel and Crystal Guardian

You might as well just not bother equipping the focus charms. You'd get the same result.

Also, the devs implied that while she tries to control bugs into killing you through dreams (see Myla), the side effects manifesting as an infection is not entirely on purpose, but the consequences of she desperately trying survive being too "strong" for mortals.

Considering the only way you can kill her is to dream nail yourself into the head of something containing her, it's pretty safe to assume he had no way to kill her at the time. There's certainly nothing in the game to suggest he had a reason to keep her alive.

The HK world is basically shrouded or at least exists in an area shrouded in perpetual darkness and the biggest indicator of a God-like being is an entity that emits light and perhaps sounds as well if Silksong is anything to go by. The bugs under the Radiance's control aren't mindless, they're just under her control and when she dies they will return to how they were before the infection took hold.

When you're in the City of Tears, you can go get Isma's Tear or Desolate Dive.
Getting those will open up loads of other areas.
But the absolute best thing you can do is _____git gud______

Although, if you don't want spoilers, I would recommend you to just do what you want.
Right now you can either go to previous locations and explore with the wall-jump (which is the ability that opens up most of the map), investigate entrances and places in the map that you still didn't visit (you should have a few obvious ones), or go fight the Lords, which is also pretty rewarding.
The game lets you choose for yourself, it's great.

From the looks of it, I think that's what the towns are for in this game.

You can do almost everything before fighting them. All they block off is I believe an entirely optional section of the mantis village, you can get to the other side of the door they guard through other paths.

Hollow Knigt and Binding of Isaac might be the best of all time when it comes to "value per buck" out there.

Nosk is actually pretty easy if you have the double jump. They nerfed Uumuu into oblivion so it's not that bad. Sheo is the easier of the Nailmaster fights. If you got Zote's golden statue you've practically beaten his already.

Grimm and Nightmare King Grimm are easy once you get the fight down.
