its good, there is some half-baked shit and missing mechanics from previous games that drive me crazy, just rough around the edges overall. the last few chapters are great tho. be sure to check out the other xeno games if you like it

i played it till the end too and most of the time i was ignoring the obvious faults and cringey story because I wanted to like it as much as i liked X

I don't want to sound like an asshole, user, but if you didn't like it... why did you play it until the end? You don't like it, that's fine. But why would you play the game you don't like until the end, especially a game like this which lasts good 80+ hours?
I'm playing DQ11 at the moment, 16 hours in, and honestly I'm not having fun. I think I'll just drop it and replay fucking Chrono Trigger.

The combat is loads of fun, has a lot of variety, and is farily deep. Always leaves you wanting for more, feeling like you could push it further or add something new to your strategy.
