Tetris 99 got me interested in Tetris for the first time. Grabbed Puyo Puyo on Switch last week. Just got around to playing and just grinded out my first sub 2min 40-line rush (by fucking milliseconds)
Someone who plays a ton of competitive Tetris told me sub 2mins is like a 7-minute mile. YOur just barely getting into the range of something most people cant do without practice.
I have zero clue how to setup T-Spins though

They should make a sequel to Puyo Puyo Tetris except they should collaborate with Nintendo to also add Dr. Mario in to the mix, specifically taking inspiration from Dr. Mario 64. Dr. Mario 64 was essentially Puyo Puyo Tetris before Puyo Puyo Tetris so it shouldn't be too hard to pull off. Call it Dr. Mario's Puyo Puyo Tetris or something like that.

at the lowest level possible, tetris has an advantage for being simpler to get the hang of
at the very top end of skill, tetris has the advantage because theres hard drop lets you play at absurd speeds compared to puyo. but everywhere inbetween puyo shits on tetris.
also ppt has absurd levels of input delay compared to JStris or Nullpomino and I dont understand how people can put up with it

Are you fucking kidding me TGM3 is the easiest and has the least input lag, if you are using altinput scratch that and open the actual TGM3.exe file.
As for the other two, yeah it's pretty annoying but you'll get used to it. Protip don't play TGM3 over TGM and TAP since the ruleset is pretty different and it has much more stuff to help you.
