I finally got around to playing Demo 5 of Chrono X yesterday - holy crap it really is just like a whole new game. I played demoes 3 and 4 so I’m well aware of how long it’ll be until the full game comes out, but damn I’m excited.
Is there any sort of guide that lists all of the available chips? Since saves carry over I may as well get a head start. Also I read on the wiki that demo 5 added 7 new Request BBS missions but I only have the original 3 that have always been there.
>tfw 2, 3, and 6 are generally regarded as the best ones and also are the only ones with Request BBS It’s an important feature.
Just started a replay of all the games, beginning with GBA 1 (can't be fucked to find patched OSS) What the hell were they thinking with the traffic lights and power plant? One is so easy, it's literally walking in a straight line, and the other has so many fucking gimmicks it's practically unplayable.

>Demo 5 of Chrono X yesterday - holy crap it really is just like a whole new game Gameplaywise? I played the demo that went up to the concert and I was totally turned off by the weird 0.5 second delay the combat had on every input.
I hate the fucking Chrono X OST man, it's so fucking bad should've just played operation shooting star dude but even then it's still near the bottom of the battle network games
Someone have a link to the latest translated Shanghai build? Someone mentioned that there had been more builds locked behind a paywall before the whole project went under.
Bentley Johnson
Oh I know BN1 is the worst game in the series, but honestly it's still better than either version of fucking 4.
Chrono X is honestly terrible. I get why there's hype surrounding it because we're all fucking starving for new Battle Network content, but the game straight-up sucks. Shitty Original The Characters, atrocious soundtrack, clunky implementation of mechanics, and the lag in combat. Just awful.
Jaxson Russell
I don't think it's possible to even play those games now since the service ended.
Leo Rodriguez
Death to Capcom.
Cooper Anderson
Who hurt you, user?
Hunter Ortiz
I'll probably just swap the OST with tracks from the games anyway. Pls let the gameplay be good. >we're all fucking starving for new Battle Network content Such is life for a BN fan. Hopefully it'll get Capcom's attention via C&D and they'll "remaster" the games, or at least port them with functioning online
Those builds were, with the exception of a basic menu items and the hint lines, exclusively Japanese. The latest translated Shanghai build is the same as it's always been: v0.432 which ends after the Shrine scenario.
Nathan Torres
I wish we could get more good Battle Network games. Or, at least, ports of the Japan exclusive games.
>and don't even speak a word of Japanese so all this is through the power of Google/Bing Translate and context clues. It's shit. But I guess it's a start.
Aiden Cox
It's how I've been replaying the series on my 3DS. No issues, only downside is no cheat codes or fastforward.
Levi Reed
Anyone tried this? How complete/polished is it?
Christopher Gomez
fuck you user it still hurts >last legends game was one of those weird mid-late 2000s mobile games youtube.com/watch?v=V7GWVBpnGss
Battle Network 1 remake that was Japan exclusive It was mediocre
Kayden Bailey
It should barely count as a remake, they had the opportunity to fix everything wrong with BN1 and it's pretty much the same game except with Star Force cameos.
>use BN1's plot as a base >Redo the internet >improve the flow of battle >give enemies more than like 20 health >Implement other BN additions from later games
Enemy health peaked at 1000 and that was for the final boss/Bass which is nothing now.
Julian Stewart
BN Collection for Switch with working multiplayer when?
Levi Perry
Wait what exactly happened to get Shanghai cancelled and how complete is the last version? Haven’t kept up with that in a long while
Ian Adams
If Star Force had Battle Network gameplay, it would unquestionably be better than Battle Network in every way.
Jordan Lewis
It literally wouldn't be the same game Not even Powered Up or Maverick Hunter changed their core games as much as BN1 would have to be changed just to make several parts even tolerable, especially the fucking power plant dungeon
But it already is. Battle network gameplay was done in and dead by that point.
Adam Sanchez
It'd be Battle Network.
Nicholas Smith
Rockman.EXE and Roll.EXE saw Lan and Mayl coming since day 1 They know their shit
Eli Bailey
Something something the creator tried getting funds through japanese patreon, and Capcom wouldn't have that. Latest translated version goes up to the shrine, and then you have... this.
Angel Flores
It'd be Battle Network with a better story and characters.
For bosses you have some options >begin fight with a program advance that gives you invis stat >max mega buster out as fast as possible since a charge shot from it will stun a boss and reset their attack pattern. with a max buster chips are not even needed >grind some invis/popup chips. buster + invis breaks the game so had its not funny Other than that, you just gotta slide a lot and memorize their pattern
Matthew White
Yes, and...?
Camden Wright
Light was weird
Dominic Bennett
How long did it take for Megaman.EXE and Roll.EXE to realize they were in love?
Alexander Powell
Robots have no concept of genetics. Mega Man, Proto Man and Roll never call Light their father.
Jeremiah Lewis
>Mega Man, Proto Man and Roll never call Light their father.
Reminder that the fate of humanity depends on whether or not Light and Wily get laid, especially Light. When Light doesn't get laid, he turns to robots as substitute children. Wily constantly tries to one-up his creations. This eventually culminates in X, Zero and the maverick virus, and centuries of strife. When Light does get laid, he just ends up focusing on computer science and networks instead. Robotics development is stunted due to being defunded and there being no one to push Wily, who only grows bitter and tries to tear down the late Light's creations. He eventually reforms and humanity progresses normally, establishing relations with aliens around the same time the Classic timeline is suffering from colony drops by mavericks.
