Celeste, Inside, Journey, Undertale are overrated as fuck, while RDR is mediocre. The rest is good.

BOTW has amazing graphics & exploration, but all of that falls apart when you realize that there's absolutely no worthwile content in it. It's nothing more then a tech demo for a far greater sequel that will come out next year

It is pretty much inarguably the most complex multiplayer game ever made, the deepest, it revolutionized gaming and transformed the idea of pro gaming and tournaments

the game was made with insane attention to detail and quality, things like tiny visual touches, voice lines and shit. all the little things.

Popularity would mean it sold very well. It's on "top rated lists". You entire argument about books doesn't make sense. If he was talking about Minecraft or Fortnite you might have made sense but he is talking about an indie game that was only available on Sony consoles up until very recently. It's probably not even in the top 1000 top selling games of the last decade yet it constantly makes top 50 lists for best games.
