Builders is fun but the thing really is a fanservice anime and if you start with it you won't get 99% of the references. Atleast you can rewatch it years later and see all the stuff you originally missed.

08th MS team was my favorite back when i was a kid because it was about some regular mooks who fuck things up almost as much as they do things correctly. That said the whole romance thing is really forced and kinda shitty, but its a fun watch overall

Builders is beloved by most, user. The issue are the sequels.

War in the Pocket is great and is the only Gundam which succeeds in what Gundam actually set out to show.

G-Reco is amazing, but kind of lacks an ending. Amazing animation, tons of battles, tonns of trivia... just binge it or you won't be able to make any sense of it. Or so I'm told.

If you want to see the original, the manga called Origin does it much, much better than the anime.

It's got a weird cast list that's not really using everything that it could, hell, half of it is purely Seed and Seed sidestories. That said, as long as it stays as mechanically sounds as Genesis was, it's going to be a good game.

Not sure why people hate on Destiny.

It has a far better start than SEED and while SEED was just a retelling of 0079 Destiny turned out to be a retelling of Zeta.

Gundam 00 debates also ended with most saying that the second half is bad while the first is good even though the same situation applies here.

This, actually. It honestly feels like they were stuffing 60 episodes worth of story into 26 episodes. Not to mention the breakneck pace of MS introductions only to be shuffled immediately offstage for the next batch. They needed way more episodes.

SEED peaks at the desert arc and degenerates into an unfathomable mess not long after. It's not worth a watch, and Destiny is actually worse. Watch Victory instead.

If you want to properly "get into" Gundam, the original series is non-negotiable. SERIES, not movies.

Dom and Rick Dom are basically the same, and it eventually got an animated kill in one of those side story games with nice animation.

X is a knock off what if UC anyways. Not a knock on its quality considering it's #2 on my list of favorite Gundam series.

I second this. ANT's decision to mix early 2000 animation with 80's animation just made it really schizophrenic in the quality. If it was completely animated in all 2000 style, I would have given it a pass.
